Rain. Something that every animal and plant needs in order to survive. Without it, nothing could survive.

Mintclaw enjoyed the weather as of late, not only for that, but also the scenery.

True, green leaf did prove to be rather damp this season with the light rain and freezing cold, but he found himself rather liking how rain made everything look nice. With glistening raindrops dripping from the trees or how the puddles would ripple from the constant onslaught of rain. Everything was beautiful.

However, it seemed that one of his friends has differing beliefs, their head ducked down in the warriors den with their nose tucked under his tail.

The lilac tom was at the warriors den entrance, looking out with an intrigued stare. Yet every now and then, he couldn't help, but glance back at his friend, who remained silent as the rain kept on sprinkling down.

At first, he had tried talking to the curled up furball that is his friend. Though his companion has politely told him that rain wasn't really his thing. Mintclaw nodded his head, silently wondering why, yet decided not to prod his friend too much. They were already through enough, no need to force their paw.

And so, he settled himself in front of the entrance, staring out to watch the rain droplets drop and the light pitter patter sound that rain loved to make so much. While he did want to keep his friend company, Mintclaw didn't see how this should keep him from watching the rain.

Eventually though, the small glances turned into longer stares, the smaller tom looking back to check on his companion longer and longer. Until he finally had enough of dancing around the bush.

Picking himself up with a sweep of his striped tail, the tom found himself walking over to the other feline, his tail twisting behind him as he stared down at his curled up friend.

Said curled up friend glanced up, amber eyes shining back both a somber and curious light.

Mintclaw found himself smiling back at his friend's look, all the while saying, "Hi Eaglecry, mind if I join you?"

A shocked silence followed, most of it coming from Eaglecry who stared back at the other tom with a wide eyed stare.

With Mintclaw not realizing that he had made the larger tom blush, the tail covering up the dilute calico's upper face rather well.

So the tabby simply smiled obliviously, his tail waving behind him welcomingly as he awaited for any response.

And it seemed that Mintclaw's friendly demeanor had done the trick, as the caliby silently started making room for the tabby.

With a small smile gracing his maw as he made himself cozy, pressing his side against Eaglecry's, the yellow eyed male glanced over at the other feline curiously, wondering how he felt about the entire ordeal.

Surprisingly enough, the previously solemn look that was on the scarred male's face was replaced with a grin. Sure, it was one that was traced with fatigue, but it was a genuine smile.

Grinning right back at the fluffy tom that he pressed his tabby's side against Eaglecry's side, Mintclaw found himself enjoying the rainy weather, but for a different reason now.
