download for full size c:I may have underestimated Mew's size.. Lugia is about 17 feet, and Mew is about 1, closer to 2 feet..
Let's just say it's a baby Mew for the picture's sake. XD
anyways, i spent a good 5-6 hours on this. i think.. xD
I really wanted to draw Lugia after i saw a neat realistic Lugia looking at a Lapras swimming overhead. it was pretty, so i made this. not quite as pretty, but i'm still learnin'
also, excuse the slightly derpy pose. lugia have gigantic fucking wings and it was hard to find where to put them XD

The take on Lugia's design worked well. I think the portrayal as more dinosaur-like was a good choice. As far as the posing goes, perhaps try treating them more like wings and less like arms if that makes sense. They seem stiff here and giving his wings a more eagle-like pose may have worked better.

well, technically, lugia does have very arm-like wings. i didnt put them on his body right though, so i think they look stiff as boards because i couldnt find how to place them right. XD

Yeah I know he does but I've seen them done in a more bird-like manner. For that pose having one stretched out in the water behind him and the other right in the viewer's face may have worked better.

i think its mostly because of the particles in the water, makes it look not like air xD
