Description One of the commissions I've been doing for local buyers... Here we see a Sir Calvin, in his natural habitat of gray fogginess. He's gloomy for a Gypsy horse, and wouldn't hold still for more than 2sec.

I feel like I should put all that "HB graphite on bristol board" crap here, since this piece is all professional

(BTW: I HATE MY CAMERA.)

at least with him being all moody there was someone else there for him to take it out on if he wants to stick to the dark alleys of his stall on a sunny day... he will punish the one who drags him out with stomping, snorting, and evil glares.

Brilliant , I love how your've done the eyes, they are so deep. Makes me wonder what he's focusing on, it's a similar look to the one my horses get when their about to have a nap....

I really like it, I'm working on horse pieces right now, none posted, but working. I have a real problem with the hair, not the short hair, but the mane.... *sighs* That's a different story. *laughs*

hair is the most fun/detailed part... just go a few strands at a time...

So... I would caluculate each long strand and think about it individually in the tones and shading? I think I could do that.

I didn't really use bristol paper it's drawn in my cheap sketchbook
the color is put there mostly by my horrid camera, and I touched it up in photoshop a lot... the red tone was the only thing the camera did that I LIKED >:E
