Description from my fragments project. basic concept is that i gather information from real life and combine them randomly to make these pieces. all the people that i draw are based on real people, and the words from real conversations or books or music, backgrounds from places i've been or seen... and so on.

materials used: authentic aged paper, pencil/graphite, gouache, old frames.

wow. ok. now how did you even gather the "pieces" / experiences to make these complete compositions? it boggles me mind in a good way. wow. I want to do this project on my own, now...

i don't know if i've mentioned this, but i really like how you shade faces (like the nose, ears, around the eyes). they make for a really unique touch. :] i like the communication between the two on the left, and how the right side is slightly faded (or is that just the camera flash?).

i actually got this one from an old letter i found in the corner of some old house that was going to be torn down... i couldn't read much more of the letter but it mentioned something about a school fire... i love finding stuff like that

This is my favourite as well.
You get to see a bit more of the characters.
There is a lot of emotion in this one and the others.
The old paper and the touches of blue really add something.. i'm not really sure what but they certainly do.
It's fascinating, and I wonder who these people are and I want to learn more.
I cant stop looking at it.
