It wasn't really a terrorist per se. Terrorists have agendas be they political or financial. While there are certainly people who would want to use Love Machine for such purposes, when it went War Games on Wabisuke it only cared about one thing: winning. That's how it saw, as you so eloquently put it, "nuking the fuck out of everything". Winning the game. There was no purpose deeper than For the Lulz, or Evuls if a computer program can be considered evil but that's a whole 'nother debate. It didn't play favorites either as every nuclear arsenal in the world was aimed at...well, the world. It was having fun destroying the internet, launching nuclear Armageddon and generally just ruining everyone's day. Hell, it even killed grandma, not because it had anything personal against her, but because her capacity to organize people against it was an obstacle to winning that had to be removed to fulfill its purpose. All in all it was being a colossal prick, like a basement-dwelling troll who's just out to ruin someone's day. Besides, look at the expression it has before it went all One-Winged Angel. He's like a troll-faced Mickey Mouse!
