for the contest Love vs Hate from

i actually tried to keep with the anatomy as i never look at cat pics when drawing so for once i wanted to change that. the shading was an experiment as it was the only pic i had that i could use(others are just in sketch mode or complete lol). i was trying out *SterlingCynder 's shading tutorial but after the 1st or second step, i went with my own ideas so i didn't entirely use her shading style.

now for the reasons for who i like and hate

i really liked Tallstar as he seemed a noble leader and all. I especially would have liked for him to have had a bigger part in the books but that's just me.

now i dislike Breezepelt not because as most fans think, he attacked jayfeather blah blah blah. i dislike him because he tried to kill a pregnant she-cat. i dont really like poppyfrost but still. she was pregnant. Breezepelt felt unloved by his father but thats no excuse for trying to destroy the clans.

heres a little snip of how i think the scene would be but bear in mind im a fail at describing:

“Breezepelt,” a black and white tom spoke as he entered the abandoned twoleg den. A black figure laid on his side around the heap on trash left by the humans, motionless. The tom looked dead but after a few moments, the black figure stirred. “What’s a mangy Starclan cat doing here?” Breezepelt spoke in a stutter. The black and white tom lunged at the Breezepelt and threw him into the silver container in the corner. “I know what you have been doing Breezepelt.”
The black tom gave a smirk at the glowing figure before trying to stand on his paws. “The clans are spineless crow food that deserve to die. The code is a lie and you know it. The clans only cause pain and misery. These cats are starving because of them. I’m just helping so they can defend themselves.” The tom growled and lunged at the black tom’s throat. Breezepelt wasn’t as strong as he used to be with little food that he was able to catch and fell back to the other tom’s attack. “That is a lie. I didn’t want to do this to you but you give me no other choice. I can’t let you ruin the clans anymore then you already have.” Tallstar ran his claws across the small black figures throat. The cat gave a bit of struggle by clawing his shoulder but it was no use. Tallstar started to pad away from the tom before a stutter of laughter caught his attention. He turned to see Breezepelt was not yet dead but blood poured out of his mouth and throat. “You think that killing me will do good? I believed in the dark forest. I’ll just come back. Soon, one by one, Starclan will fall-.” The tom couldn’t say more before collapsing to the ground. Tallstar stared at the body a few moments before fading away back to Starclan.
