I thought I heard about some of those modern ones with four doors rather than only two. If I buy one of those trucks, then I have to have all four doors.

The headlights are wrong. Those are halogen headlamps, they need to be HID

I didn't do anything with the headlights. Though I do agree.

Ford so needs to build this. But with a detachable roof over the back half.

Post it to Ford social. They just might. And if not, we could always do it ourselves. Its amazing what can be accomplished with crowd funding these days.
And I'd love to put my DiRT 357STDI under the hood.

Ford social? Haven't heard of that. And out of curiosity, is that a diesel engine you speak of? I only ask because of the "TDI" part in the name.

You would be correct. Super-Turbo direct injection. I build my engines this way to ensure that the engine always has a minimum of 35 lb of boost, even at very low rpms. I also use the pneumatic system as a boost charger if gets below min spec.
My 300STDI currently produces 450 up @ 3100 rpm, 990 lbft @ 1250 - 3100 rpm.
I've also gotten 38 mpg in my f150 using this engine.

Wow. those are some impressive numbers! How much would such an engine cost? And would it be compatible with a 91 F150?

As for will it fit, if you can afford one of my custom built engines, you can also afford custom engine mounts if the oem ones don't mach up.

Right now, about $25,000. If I was to put it in a short run production vehicle (say about 10,000 of these Broncos) that cost wouldn't be cut to about $5500.
Note that a major part of the spectacular mileage is the result of a dpi injection system. Propane acts as a fuel catalyst, enabling the fuel to completely combust. With proper tuning the engine will produce more power, torque, and use less fuel.
Improperly tuned and your engine will explode; rather spectacularly.

Well that's out of my budget. lol. Well I've been thinking of rebuilding the 4.9L in my 91 but have been wondering if there are any options as to increase the mpg and power. Like if I were to put a turbo on it and such, would that actually help.

If ford were to present a raptor based concept at an auto show it would undoubtedly cause quite a stir; along with a plethora of demands to put it into production from the press, dealers, and potential customers.

Ford would do extremely well to start production of the raptor bronco, years ago, in 1996 in fact i was asking what the hell was ford thinking discontinuing the BRONCO, i have owned several broncos, 76-79-80-91-94, i loved all of them and i have been missing the truck for years, and just now a small glimmer of hope that ford will do the right thing, and start production immeadiatly, i have seen pics of the shorter wheelbase the medium wheelbase with the longer window over the back wheels, as well as the four door version, as the centurion was between the mid 80s and thru the 1996 model year, great looking truck ford, looks muscular( with a few touches),and let me be first to jump on the bandwagon and throw my name into the hat to get one of the first ones, i WILL BE STANDING IN LINE FOR MY NEW BRONCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't wanna make anyone angry, but the concept in the link looks like something Jeep would make. This manipulation is like a smaller version of the f-150 pick up though. I like the Raptor concept, but maybe they should be a little different on their approach. I mean, have you seen the new Fusion? It's great! However, I read in an article and saw a picture of the 2014 Mustangs, and they're gonna give the Mustang the same grille as the new Fusion. I actually like a lot of Ford cars, and I hope they make the Focus coupe, if anyone else has seen it, that is a really new, and diverse look for a Ford. The Taurus SHO is pretty sexy too.

The current concept vehicle is nice. It's very retro, looking like the first generation Bronco. I'm not a huge fan of the concept vehicle. I DO like this. Simply tightening up the frame of an F150 makes for an easy Bronco. GM understood that when they made the first gen-1 K5 Blazers. The Suburban was even easier to build. No frame alteration needed. Just extend the Blazer bodywork to station wagon length and Presto.
If built, this vehicle would be easy to design and build and should sell reasonably well.

This is something I was thinking of doing with that exact model of F-150 if I ever had the chance!! A lot of people don't know this but the Fullsized Broncos were built on on F150 Shortbed frames and the Raptor is perfect for this. I'm not liking the flares on there cause they look like it was an afterthought but if they were part of the bodywork then it'd be fine. And different rims would really pull it together even more.
D2k11!

Yeah, I hear ya there. I may not be able to make it for real due to lack of money but at least I can make a digital rendering to appease my hunger for awesomeness for the time being. I agree with the rims, perhaps I shall blow the dust off this one and freshen it up.
