He’s the little bay colt with Spirit---> [link]

Name: Buckshot

Age: Same age as Spirit

Sex: Stallion

Color: Bay

Eye-Color: Brown

Personality: Split

Bio: Buckshot was born a few weeks after Spirit. He played with the other foals happily each day, but tried to avoid Spirit, as the young buckskin was a bit rough. Mind you, little Spirit didn’t mean to be; he was just more rambunctious then the other foals. After the ‘bison incident’ however, Spirit started to become cocky and bullish. He targeted Buckshot, as he was the smallest of the foals, and bullied him daily. He would corner Buckshot and tease him unmercifully for hours; and when he would tire, he’d simply dash off to play with someone more willing. Sometimes, Spirit would only pretend to leave, and when Buckshot tried to go home, Spirit would pop out from hiding and the ‘game’ would begin all over again. A few times, frightened little Buckshot wouldn’t come out at all, and spend the night all by himself, wondering in fear if Spirit were waiting for him behind a rock. I must stress to you, Spirit had no idea the damage he was causing. As far as he was concerned, he was just having fun with one of his many ‘friends’. After all, Spirit’s games were harmless, right? The torture continued until the colts were grown. When Spirit took over the Cimarron herd from Strider, he viciously attacked Buckshot and drove him out. The other young stallions in the bachelor herd were too pushy and big for Buckshot, so he went off on his own. The years of playful torture made the stallion an absolute mental wreck. He shied from every sound, every movement, every scent and every shadow. Many natural things such as deer walking, birds flying, or even bees humming sent chills down his back. As he grew older, his fears manifested into rage. His timidness transformed into hatred. His quiet desperation metamorphosized into a lust for revenge. He hated Spirit. He hated him for being a monster. A terrible beast who fed on the fears of those smaller and weaker then him. He wanted vengeance; he wanted to fight Spirit…he wanted to kill him. He wanted not the responsibility of becoming a herd stallion…no, that dream was destroyed long ago…he simply wanted the pleasure of showing his nemesis just how cruel he can be.

So far, Buckshot hasn’t gotten the courage to follow through with his new dream. Sure, he’s on the edge of insanity and the sound of Spirit’s bones crushing beneath his hooves would offer some sort of mental relaxation, but there’s still that annoying mindset…that possibility that Spirit were waiting behind a rock ready to pounce…

No disrespect to Spirit-fans, but there was a possibility that, being a natural leader, Spirit could very well have been a bully to the other colts. (if you own or have been around horses, you know what I’m talking about.)
