Description
This is Rain's mom, Rose, who was mates with Thorn. She's a dark chestnut (almost liver chestnut, but with more red) with a bald face, a white sock and white stocking and a flaxen mane and tail. Rain obviously got her mother's face-white and mane/tail color, but with pinto markings like her father, Thorn.

About Rose: Rose was born in the wild, but both of her parents were well-bred domestic horses that escaped into the wild. Rose had her parent's natural instinct to be with people. She just followed Little Creek home one day when she was 4 years old. He began training her right away, impressed by her long legs and athletic build.

She was a breeze to train, and soon became the most well-trained horse in the village. She was bombproof, and Little Creek used her to help train the other wild horses that were caught. She was also used to teach the kids how to ride. About 2 months after she followed Little Creek home, the young brave was given Thorn to train. Rose and Thorn spent a lot of time tied together, and they fell in love. Rain was born a year later. After Thorn's tragic and untimely death 3 years later, Rose became depressed and wouldn't breed any other stallion. She was still a favorite in the tribe, however.

She was so well-trained that every time the village was invaded by the Army, Rose would run away into the wild, only to return home a week later.

Then, one day, she never came back. No one knows if she was captured, killed or just decided to live in the wild again.

Done with colored pencils. Also, Rose is NOT a mustang. She is a warmblood.
