in my hometown, we got snow on the 26th, and then more snow on the 28th and brilliant sunshine all weekend - I almost went mad photographing  
now I'm back in Berlin and the snow has turned slush, and the sun has been replaced by grey skies ... but I have a feeling that was not the last of winter

Eh, slushy snow isn't so bad, it makes a cool sound when you walk on it! And I'd take that anytime over the sweltering heat we're sometimes getting here.

vielen Dank - das Jahr hat gar nicht so schlecht angefangen, nur im Moment haben wir viel Regen und Stürme. Ansonsten ist 2015 bisher gut zu mir gewesen
ich hoffe du hattest auch einen guten Jahresanfang, ich wünsche dir, daß die restlichen 353 Tage noch viel besser werden

Ah, du bist in Bayern! Das ist nicht Deutschland (sagen die anderen Deutschen )
ich wohne in Berlin, und meine Heimatstadt ist in Mecklenburg, im Nord-Osten.

Ich freue mich daß du gut angekommen bist, und hoffe daß deine Zeit hier in good old Germany angenehm und interssant ist.
Ich wünsche dir viele neue Freunde, und gute Erfahrungen, und viel Spaß mit unserer Sprache

Yeah, it is! Definitely worth the getting up early … I slept almost 12 hours to make up for it, though!
