Thanks for your comment.. I ended up making that swampy area below the turtle to give the piece some depth of field / composition or whatnot. I guess I could always crop the artwork closer in on the turtle to see what it looks like. I'm always up for suggestions!

hey great image, looks like a mix betweeon mont saint-michel, some random house/hills and the turtle from the movie the never ending story (younger) I like the comment alot but maily the pic, the idea of living in such a place isn't very new but you have given it a nice touch.
*hey, we could throw criminals and politicians and psycologist from the city edges*

I love the concept! Tortoises are so wise, and I love how it seems like he is carrying entire cities on his back.

This a really wicked picture. My only criticism is that the background doesn't blend in well enough with the turtle and the city. But, the city on the shell looks like it should be that way, very nice!

Thanks for your comment... do you have any idea how I can possibly fix the blending problem you mentioned? I'm still new to photomanipulation and don't know all the tricks yet. Maybe if I did a slight blur around the turtle to make it less sharp looking?

I don't know exactly what u could do... and it's not really about the sharpness, it's just how bright and clear the entire turtle and city are compared to the dark, cloudiness of the background A brighter, clearer background would have suited it better I think.
