Description
I tried to design a yarn Yoshi for the Contest. I thought it would be cool to draw a Yoshi that doesn't exist. The first thing I thoght was. "Hey, what about rainbowyoshi" but that was too... random. There are so many Rainbowyoshipictures on deviantart, so I thought that I need a better idea.
Than I thought about things and colors I like and I thought "Hey, what about a pastellcolorded yoshi!" And than I was palying the game and what happend?! The pastellcolored yoshi exist orz (sorry for the spoiler)
Than I thought about other loved colors. My favorite is red, than I thought about something what could has to do with red. SUNSETS! I love sunsets! They are not exactly red but yellowish, orange and super pretty So I decided to make the sunset yarn Yoshi.
I know that woll with color gradient exist. So why not a color gradient from orange to orangered and pale yellow to a darker yellow. Yoshis yellow cheek could remind of the sun the orangered parts are on his body, becuause of the colored sky (I really love it when the sky gets so much orangered on it ) and the violete details are there because the sky tend to look a bit violett behind the orangepinkish parts. :3
The hardest thing was drawing the yarn structure.. Even if I had refrences.

I think it would be more funny to design something special for myself and not a fanartyarnyoshi in the design of for example hungry luma. :3 I hope this could count.

The background was a try and I didn't used references of the game. I tried to draw a stuffed landscape, a cloud pach, yellow wool and two needled flowers with two buttons.
