Idk if you guessed already, but I´m a “Magnus Chase” fan now. I just finished the second book (which I bought two days ago) and I love it!! I fully recommend it.
Hearth is one of the main characters. He is a young mute elf from Alfhein. He comunicates via ASL (Alfheim Sign Language) and is able to lip-read. Elves in Alfhein are as “developed” as we are, but Hearth still loves the “Rune Magic”.
A curious fact about nordic elves is that ALL looke the same. Tall, clear skin, grey eyes, blond hair. Also looks like they are all hypocrites assholes. But not Hearth. He is the cutest cinnamon roll ever.
Due to his deafness, his parents rejected him. The only one who cared about him was his younger brother, Andiron (who was killed at 7). At some point, he ran away of his house and ended meeting Blitzen (a dwarf from Nidavellir) who saved his life. Both are great friends (nah they are a married couple, none one can fool me)
Elven´s legs are longer and thinier than human´s. Also, they have green blood and big eyes.
The rune above represents Hearth. It´s “Perthro”, the empty cup, that waits to be filled.
