My grandfather told me once that a deer’s age can be counted by the number of his horns and by the complexity on how tit has branch-ed’, and, this how the design came up. As we grow and mature, we FADE, but as we challenge ourselves with our age, we also gain an incredible amount of experience and wisdom…that’s is why we BLOSSOM even at the end of everything.HAHAHA. Its kinda strange that my inspiration goes with the theme of aging.
Another inspiration of the design is the Princess Mononoke movie. Semi inspired by the deer god who cuts and gives life in the story.
The scene: an adult deer together with a young deer on a lake with all the stars reflected.
This is also a follow up design from my Ursa major tee.

a stag's age does not have any bearing on the number of tines on his antlers. nowhere have i found any reliable informaiton on what factors determine number of antlers, but it is probably hormone related. i have run across articles from deer ranchers who mention older males with only a few tines on their antlers, and/or who develop the same number of tines year after year.

hm, the age of a deer can be told by the teeth. Antlers, not so much anymore. Most people who breed deer use special nutrition to dope the bucks and create more points. Sad, but true.
We have a red stag in one of our wildlife-park. He's about 6-7 years ols but got over 50 points (i think, 58, I'm not sure. I saw him once and he's the last one in his group because he walks so slow - the antlers are much too heavy to carry). Enter " Hirsch Krampus Elfenberg Mautern" in Google and you will see ._.
