It's a lot harder than it looks; it takes more than you and I,
It's everything, it's nothing, it's easy to see,
But it's hard to become, to accomplish, to create,
When it takes more and more, more than me.

It's difficult to express myself, it's always been,
Sometimes it feels almost impossible to be,
But I'm more than nothing, I'm more than you'd believe,
It's just I'm not everything you wanted from me.

I'm more than I thought I'd ever be in my own eyes,
I'm more than the nothing I expected from your words,
So as I cut the tattered threads don't be surprised,
That I've rejected your sentences, just nouns and verbs.

It's harder than you can ever imagine,
But then again I do believe you tried the same,
I have what it takes to be more than you'd imagine,
I have more than enough for them to not forget my name.

So don't give me that look. I reject your smile,
I won't even pretend I'm not forgetting your face,
Because, honestly, I've heard enough from you,
