you add a new empty layer ...fill it with yellow..then make is multiply or change it to any mode u want ..and go to layer/adjustments/photo filter ..then choose yellow...

To be honest: I don't get it.
If I add an empty layer, fill it with yellow and change the mode to multiply my image gets extremely yellow. And I can't follow the second step. Do you mean a new layer? I'm confused.

yes extremly yellow ..but u should change the opacity ..reduce it
