"Heart of the Pack" is a fiction I had created about an unconventional wolf pack. It actually has two concepts to it, one regarding acceptance, and another, more sci-fi approach regarding chimeras xD

Colt: Male, black wolf with blue eyes
Kotsu: Male, fox. He's supposed to be a rare color variation of a red fox
Terra: Female, Turkish Angora cat, Dark Tortie pattern
Rinoa: Female, border collie dog

Colt is of course the leader of this "unconventional pack". He abandoned his own pack because he and his father could not see eye-to-eye, so he left and attempted to become the head of his own wolf pack... unsuccessfully. Along the course of the story, however, he befriends the dog, Rinoa, and her companion, the cat, Terra (Kotsu the fox was already his best friend right from the get-go... one of the issues his father disagreed with him on). In his difficulties to find his own wolf pack, he discovers that he already has formed a new pack with Kotsu, Terra, and Rinoa... even though they are not wolves, they are as close as family to him.

The story is of course a bit more complex than just that, as I did mention chimeras, but I won't get into the whole thing here.

Also... yes, I suck terribly with backgrounds -.-; and I hate rocks!!

EDIT: lol I just remembered something, I can't believe I had forgotten this: This fiction of mine was actually inspired by the movie Ice Age, when Sid notes about how they are the "strangest herd he's ever seen" xD
