Nah your right. Senshumaru is a good enough writer to not just cut it there as the past 623 pictures have told. However the way this one was written felt like an ending rather than a cliffhanger, which is not a bad thing. What I was trying to say is that it worked as both, but if it was an ending, it would be too sudden, even with the wording and imagery being awesome.

Not the end, that would leave too many missed oppurtunities, and i highly doubt lea dies. Its too simple, and anyway great cliffhanger.

While I like how it could be assumed that Lea died underwater with the octopus, leaving her ultimate fate a mystery and letting the imagination work on what happened visually, I really hope this is not the end, just because it leaves too many loose ends and feels like a chopped ending, let cutting a piece of string suddenly and without warning. Let's hope this is not the end.
