History: Melody Were Born Without Her CheeckMarks. So she had to fake painting it for everyone in mewni don't think she were a fake Butterfly/Princess.
She always wear her crown beause she is a queen in training. She is the younger one of all them. because she is 12 and for everyone in mewni know, She already were born as a big butterfly. She already could do magic without her wand, But not too much as her mother. So everyone tought she would have to be a future queen even with 12 years old. 9 months later she did earn her cheecksmark when she started to have feelings for a boy in earth. Then her parents found out and tought it would be a good idea if she get to live in earth for some time.

Note: I did get inspired by Cressie's creator. (I think cressida is beautiful xD) So yeah. Also, Only wanted to say that even if she is not truly sister of vanessa, emily and elaine. All starco are sisters and brother because in another way, They are all childs of the same person...
