Think of this picture in terms of a story. It’s about a pair of fraternal twins who so closely resemble each other that they can trade places with one another and no one the wiser. A boy and a girl who can, at times, appear to be one person in two different places or, at other times, somebody of the opposite sex. A gift they use to play practical jokes on some richly deserving individuals along the lines of Till Eulenspiegel. What eventually gives them away is that while both of the girls eyes are blue one of the boy’s eyes is green.
