Description A deviation by Direct link--> [link] Please DO NOT ADD to favourites from here, , add it in her own profile . Here is what she said about her deviation :

Name: Ayame Kaganaki / Yamanaka (Ayame = Iris plant)

Age: 17

Birthday: January 18

Height: “5’6”

Weight: 100 ( a little underweight [ for “5’6”] b/c of her physical complications)

Village: Konohagakure no Kuni

Blood Type: A

Rank: ??? (continually failed at the chuunin exams, left Konoha as a gennin, exceeded into possibly a jounin)

Original Jutsu: shintenshin no jutsu  from her father’s side (yar! Inoshi daddy)

Kekkei – Genkai => DNA duplication and self genetic modification
- idenshi shusei suru (genetic modification)(from mom)

- performing many jutsu’s that require her to spin herself (a spinning kick is one by standing on her hands and rotating herself) to build up her chakra.

- She has a lot of plant-related jutsu’s; since Ayame has worked in the Yamanaka Flower shop for a very long time, she became familiar with certain plants and their properties.

- For example she can manipulate the growth of plant as well as their roots or whatever. She has also discovered certain seeds that are explosive and uses them as a secret weapon that no one would expect as a weapon. Throw down an explosion tag and BOOM!! A huge explosion b/c of the seeds.

- Another would be scattering or placing a certain type of vine-seed and using her chakra to make the vine begin to grow. She would then have the vines, which have fairly big thorns none the less, wrap around her enemy. Then she would connect some of the roots of the vine into her veins (one reason why she is always wearing wrapping). Then she would absorb the opponents chakra through the thorns and roots into herself.

Quote:

(sorry it’s a bit long too. I had fun the point of when she is saying this quote is sometime when she returns back to konoha and confronts Inoshi and Tsunade and whoever else as an Akatsuki. A random daydream I had, but it was fun.)

“Do you really believe what I’m doing is wrong? Just because I’m working with criminals doesn’t make me one. Yet once again, like you stupid Konohanin always do, you judge applicably by outer appearance and don’t even think twice about opening your eyes and looking what lies past that. Does my clothing make me a savage or my headband tell me where I belong? Just like how Konoha has such a strong reputation with shinobi heroes, no one looks past that. But what they don’t see is just how corrupt it really is; you drove my mother to insanity and killed her, leaving me to carry the burden of the generations of pain of my family all by myself without any form of support or comfort. Instead you treated me worse, excluding me and leaving me to rot away in the darkness. Rejected.
But now, I’m finally in a place and with others who accept me and want me; even if I am just being used, I don’t care. At least I’m still wanted and treated with respect, and rewarded when I succeed in doing something right. So, who’s the real bad guy here? You or me?

Story:

Childhood

(I’m using a bit of a mixture of story ideas from ’s fanfics, ’s (sam) fanfics, and other things I thought up of as well ^^. Sorry I may have changed a few things T_T)(I’m sorry if a lot of it sounds really lame)

(btw, my creativity and grammar in writing right now REALLY sucks for some reason… I just can’t process properly at this moment -.-‘)

When Ayame was young, she didn’t venture too much out into the village. Her mother kept her indoors the majority of the time because she didn’t want to expose her too much to the villagers of Konoha. Her mother did this because of the problems in the Kaganaki’s reputation, as well as the dwindling in their numbers leaving them to only a few members left of their clan. Ayame’s mother, Tsuta Kaganaki (Tsuta = Ivy) never let Ayame see her father, but left her under the care of her brother whom lived with them as well (Tsuta’s brother).
(Omg, suddenly I feel very creative!! That worked fast: boogie: But I won’t put in any quotes -.-‘)
When Ayame was about the age of 8 the last threads of her mother’s sanity snapped. Ayame returned home from the ninja academy as she always did to discover something that a child her age should never find; her uncle was dead and her mother was holding a kunai painted and dripping with crimson tears. Her mother seemed to be crying, but her eyes burned with rage and a guilt-ridden insanity. Ayame felt bound and paralyzed, unsure what she was trying to comprehend. Her mother was coming towards her, ready to bestow the same fate upon her daughter as she had upon her brother; (now I’m lazy) With the last of her strength, Tsuta lunged her final attack on Ayame, but failed to kill her as she had originally intended; instead she left her with a scar streaked across her left eye. With not enough strength to try again, she took the blade and slit her own throat, taking her life instead. Her intention was to just finally get rid of the clan; she couldn’t stand the constant judging, pain, and miserable life she had to live everyday. Now that Ayame is the last one left, she now carries the burden of her whole clan on her shoulders.
(The lameness continues)

Ayame only ever saw her father, Yamanaka Inoshi a few times in her life because her mother withheld him from seeing her. Now that she was left alone, she had no choice but to move in with her other family. Her father accepted her, and since her parents never stayed together, Inoshi had started another family (and technically Ayame was an accident ^^’). For the first time Ayame met her little sister, Ino (yeaahh!!).

Social life situation

(omg! Here ish all the emoness!! >w< I’m actually very giggly typing this ^^’. I hope she doesn’t annoy you much )
Ayame’s life was hard and unbearable as she struggled to learn the ways of the shinobi. In school she was constantly bullied and teased by the students and a group of girls whose joy in life was to make her life miserable (b/c of the clan reputation and whatever else), leaving her paranoid and depressed most of the time. She rarely ever talked to her peers or anyone, and was invisible the other half the time when she wasn’t the students’ excuse for ignorance. She would always have her hair covering her face, as a way to hide herself from her classmates, villagers, as well as herself. This was also a way to conceal her emotions, and looking at her reflection would always result in an outbreak of memories of what she had been trying to forget (she would see the scar – remember the mom thing. She would also see herself as a disgrace, think about the bullying, the harsh insults, etc.)
Because of her physical problems, trying to learn a technique took 3 times as much time and effort to learn. She was always behind in learning even the simplest jutsu, but her sharp mind made up for this lacking. She spent most of her time training and trying to catch up, leaving her very physically tired most of the time; being behind and trying to catch up with a new lesson and never being fully recovered to take on a new step left her strained beyond belief. Not only was taijutsu very hard to learn because of this, any other type of jutsu was just as hard to learn because she was born with 50 of her tenketsu permanently disabled, giving her an uneven and weaker flow of chakra in her body.
(those are a few of her stresses, here’s some more! >w<
her grades in her class were always low, leaving her father quite disappointed. Ino was progressing much farther and faster than Ayame was, as well as being the opposite of Ayame (popular, skilled, optimistic), making Ayame fairly jealous of her (but nothing of hatred toward her) and able to live up to the Yamanaka family name (from her Inoshi’s point of view). Inoshi and Ayame would often fight and quarrel, and now having a new stepmother made things very uncomfortable for Ayame (they fought as well). She would often sneak out of the house at night, to either train some more or just walk and think (also leaving her very tired everyday). Inoshi scarcely ever talked about Ayame to the other villagers, let alone mentioning that she is his daughter (besides her family life being a bit dysfunctional, it may also put a bit of a dent in his reputation if he had to mention that he had a little fling with a Kaganaki and now has one for a daughter). She was fairly neglected, living mostly independently.

Academy

Ayame’s teammates consisted of Hyuuga Senzou (’s (Kevin) ‘s character), Uchiha Itachi, and Amuro Watanabe (teacher). You would think being teamed up with 2 ninja’s with kekkei-genkai (and of the 2 most famous clans in the village) would be cool and a good thing? Well, yes and no. This yet again made Ayame a laughing stock because of the setup of the team. Remember how the teams are made up in the way that it would be evened out based on the teams strengths and weaknesses? Since this is a team with 2 members with a famous bloodline limit, this just displayed just how weak Ayame was to the rest of the class. But also as a bit of a panic thought for the students and their teacher was also the fact that Ayame has her Kekkei-genkai as well; the ability to copy and convert any other kekkei genkai so she can have it herself, in other words, she has a wide-open chance to steal their genkai as well. This was a bit of a threat to the Hyuuga and Uchiha families. (haha, I’m not done everything here yet.)
Also because of this team selection, Ayame would always get compared to Itachi and Senzou. She grew to hate her teammates (this changes later) because of this reason; but I figured out the upside to this team setup is that she is always trying to find alternatives and tricks to get around and challenge the Byakugan and the Sharingan, and having that kind of thinking of finding different alternatives is a very good thing to have as a shinobi ^_^. But also Itachi excelled so quickly out of being a gennin that this was a short time for all of them to be together in a team (but I still consider it ^^)
Ayame would also often fail many missions, and she was very low on money; the girls who bullied her constantly would always take what money they could get out of her. Ayame worked in the Yamanaka family flowershop to make up for the lost money; but trying to work the job and train the rest of the time often worked her to exhaustion and barely, if any, time to herself to enjoy anything she might like to do.

Now finally getting to the part in focus of the Naruto OC pairing contest, this is also where she gets to know Itachi better, and how I figured out the things that Itachi might find of interest in Ayame ^^’.

Building Relation between Itachi + Ayame

Because of the shadowy background behind Ayame’s character (basically people don’t know her very well and don’t know what to expect) and her reputation of being a potential threat, that caught Itachi’s attention in a sense that he doesn’t know what to expect out of Ayame compared to the other students in the class. Also since you would think that so many girls hang off Itachi (on c’mon! he’s so hawt and he is an uchiha. It happens to sasuke so it has to surely has to happen to him to), and many people are fond of him, he would find it quite odd that Ayame does the opposite; not only did she avoid him (when they weren’t in their teams), but hated him for some reason that he didn’t know (and probably not being used to this it would arise some suspicions or at least some curiosity). Having the Kaganaki reputation would sort of make Ayame seem dangerous, and I think Itachi might prefer someone a bit dangerous compared to someone clingy.
(at this current moment I think I lost 20 brain cells -.-‘)
since Itachi had been kindof watching her overtime, just in curiosity, he has seen how much she had been scorned by the villagers and harassed by her bullies. He saw the hatred and anger that was burning inside of her, and not being to fond of the village himself, somewhat related ( I think.. um… yeah…). Because of this he felt to be somewhat protective of her.
I don’t know whatever happens in between here, but now getting to when she left:
Well, it was decided that between this time Itachi and Ayame got pretty close, having it be that Itachi was the only one who didn’t scorn her (- Ino and Naomi : iconlostinpainandhope: ‘s char) and treat her with detest. This was also a bit confusing to Ayame, having it be the person she hated most turned out to be the one she most cares about and the one that most cares about her! >w< tired of my typing yet?
Before Ayame left, the last thing Itachi and she had talked about was a thought that was on Itachi’s mind for a while now; whether he should go through with killing his family to further exceed his sharingan, or whether he should not (even though it never really worked like that in the anime. It was: iconlostinpainandhope: ‘s idea, we had to encorporate it in the story somehow). Ayame told him to do whatever made him most happy, which was the destruction of the Uchiha clan. Ayame didn’t find out about this until a couple years after she left and met up with Itachi again. But before they departed, Itachi gave Ayame the Sharingan as a gift.

Orochimaru and the Otonin

(okay, the truth is, I luv Kabuto so much too but mostly Itachi. Thank you so much and for letting Kabuto like Ayame that makes mana very happy ^_^ *giggles happily*, so don’t get mad that that is included to. )

Ayame left konoha to travel to other villages to learn various techniques and learn the ways behind the other ninja foreign to her. Although Ayame was not aware of it, Orochimaru had been watching her periodically throughout her childhood. Ayame had the reputation she was carrying, as well as her kekkei-genkai that Orochimaru found appealing (of course he wanted the sharingan. But he could have this genkai and take as many others as he wants, think of the possibilities that Orochimaru could get out of this ^_~). Also throughout Ayame’s tortured childhood, she grew a deep hatred and burning rage for konoha and the people in it; from the destruction of her family and the horrid memories, she wants nothing more to do with it; she’s vengeful, and that’s what Orochimaru wants. That fire that is waiting to be awakened, and being the bloodline limit and the last living member of her clan, she is very useful. And to make things better for him, she already had the sharingan and a connection with Itachi; I think that works so far! >w<
Yes, so Orochimaru offered to help train her as long as, you know, she would work for him. She said yes of course; being rejected all her life and finally being given the opportunity to be trained by one of the legendary Sannin because he wanted to and she was wanted was, in a way, too good to be true for Ayame and kind of a boost of confidence if you know what I mean. She finally felt accepted. So Orochimaru gave her the curse and taught her how to summon the Snake King and the lesser snakes (aw, c’mon, I love snakes so soooo sooooo much! ).

Kabuto also taught her how to become a medical ninja. It was actually Kabuto who found Ayame wandering around in the Otogakure; Ayame’s condition wasn’t up to par, and being deprived of good nourishment throughout her travels caused her to become weak and ill, and she was due for a hypoglycemic attack anytime. Kabuto healed her and helped her recover her strength (also with her being a foreigner would arouse some suspicion and unanswered questions). Now with that in place, Ayame now owed Kabuto (and Oochi) her life. Since Ayame needed more care than other people, becoming a medical ninja was very beneficial to her (and I love medical ninja so much); eventually though Ayame left Orochimaru b/c she found out what he was really up to and why she was a potential (but I still don’t understand why he would need to take over a girl. Geez, poor Tayuya, it seems kinda creepy…). Before she left though, she extracted the kekkei-genkai that Kimimaro had (oh.. my.. gosh.. I love you so much kimi *swoons* I like it when you fight without a shirt ).

The Akatsuki and the Present time

Ayame first found the Akatsuki by accident. She was just on her way traveling like she always did, but as she was on her way to the Kumogakure (cloud village. … OMG! CLOUD!!!! KYAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!! *cuddles him*) the Akatsuki were having a meeting in the way of her path. She saw this, and they noticed. They were going to kill her, especially since she heard a bit of what they were talking about. Itachi didn’t know it was her b/c she was wearing a hood that kept her face hidden (hence The Hooded Ninja). Ayame played the leader on with fancy words, tricking him into letting her live and not be group attacked. Since Ayame had been traveling around so much, she had been creating maps of everywhere she had traveled; Ayame also had a very sharp mind, and she knew that the Akatsuki were after the 8 Bijou (I think there was 8  ). Luckily Ayame, she knew the whereabouts of one of them.
The Double-Tailed Vampire Cat of Japanese legend; she knew where it was located and who had it (: iconbutterfly-ino: ‘s (heather) ‘s character Hana. You said you had a cat in your character. Well guess what? I know an unintroduced possible bijou that’s a cat! ). It was because of this bribe and reason that she became part of the Akatsuki with no criminal record. Also her extensive knowledge was very useful to the Akatsuki, and in exchange for this knowledge she asked them to teach her any signature techniques that they may have. She also offered to be their medical ninja, and as well she met up with Itachi once again IT’S DESTINY DAMMIT!

Info about the Kekkei-Genkai:

basic information : The Idenshi shusei is a kekkei-genkai derived from the Kaganaki family line. With this technique, the user will use all of her chakra to do a full, genetic scan of her enemy. By doing this, she can copy certain strands of DNA that give that other person a certain attribute (mainly others with a kekkei-genkai) and copy it. Afterwards she can modify her own DNA to fit in the new strands of genetic information to her own, giving her that attribute itself. This is also simply known as the kekkei-genkai thievery technique, and this also gives the Kaganaki member a chance to acquire more than one kekkei-genkai because this technique can be used more than once.

Although this seems to be an ability with a very unfair advantage, the idenshi shusei has more complications and disadvantages than it has good results. By having to modify her own DNA slightly to adjust to the new information, she has to remove some parts of her DNA to replace it with what she had just acquired. Over the years and through generations, this had had some major defects on the Kaganaki family line.

Ayame, now being the last member of her clan and the bloodline limit, she was born with a very weak physical body along with some other defects. 50 of her tenketsu (chakra points. I think that’s right) are permanently disabled, leaving her with an uneven flow of chakra in her body. This makes learning different jutsu’s extremely difficult, often resulting in having to learn the technique a different way with different results. Most times learning certain jutsu’s can be impossible, but sometimes results are better.
In terms of normal conditions she has, she was born with hypoglycemia (low blood-sugar levels in the body because of high levels of insulin. Just in case u didn’t know ^_^). In terms of being a shinobi, this isn’t really a very good thing to have. Ayame would fail many long-term missions b/c she couldn’t last for too long without food to help keep her blood sugar regulated. Also in terms of other long-term missions of great importance, she wouldn’t be very useful because some missions may go on for long periods of time without proper nourishment. Having a high metabolism with hypoglycemia isn’t very nice  that’s why she’s so scrawny >.<
She also has asthma, not insanely bad, but not insanely good T_T. too much physical activity that would require a lot of basic running or whatever could corrupt her breathing, which is not good in the middle of a fight -.-‘.

If this genkai is used too much, the Kaganaki will be pretty much nothing but a kekkei-genkai storage. too much replacement could lead to physical impairment and function of gone overboard O.O. there’s a limit to how much this can be used, but no one knows for sure

a bit of history about it : unfortunately the Kaganaki family line Is left with a bad reputation. During their days in Konoha, their numbers began to decline because of the aggression and competition between the family members themselves. Because of this ability, often a few of their own kin would have the odd stolen genkai, and this would arouse the interest of some of the other Kaganaki family members. Since those with a bloodline limit are hard to find and rare in number, one family member would often use the idenshi shusei against another clan member in convenience, getting the genkai they stole by stealing it themselves. Unfortunately using their genkai against their kin with the same ability, this often caused an uneasy reaction in their body, killing the one whom was the victim in the double-thievery. Now lets say someone had more than 1 stolen genkai doing this method and others were trying to do the same (having one, stealing one. Then having two, possibly stealing from another that has 2, now having 4, etc. or whatever. ); this is what started the Kaganaki civil war, killing off the majority of the clan. Sometimes it was hard to tell whether someone had a stolen ability or not, so often times as a trial clan members without a stolen ability would be victims, which was the one major reason why so many members were killed. The other people of konoha got a bad impression of them overtime, often avoiding them as much as they could as well as badmouthing them whenever the chance was given.
