Description <...>

Live in your inner self alone
within your soul a world has grown,
the magic of veiled thoughts that might
be blinded by the outer light,
drowned in the noise of day, unheard...
take in their song and speak no word.

Fyodor Tyutchev
(trans. Vladimir Nabokov)

Sorry I havent been comenting for quiet some time. Been away you could say.
This gives so much because it leaves so much out.
Think you could leave the doll to fantacy?; not show so much of it?
Nice experiment, well done

the shadow makes it seem as if she's being attacked by a monster, while in fact...there's nothing wrong...
the doll looks great...confused.

I disagree with schude--seems to me the shadows are integral, required. The image schude's talking about would probably be good, but i would be an entirely different piece, a different message altogether, not nearly as disturbing...and from what I've seen, his idea's not really within your style which I find so immediate and disturbing in subtle, philosophical ways (not overt, like typical dark art, for example). You obviously plan and arrange your scenes, yet they come across as spontaneous in some ways. Very neat trick.

This pic creeps me the hell out. Really superb setup, framing, execution.

the shadow seems to distract from my focus on the doll. although i like the direction of the light for the way it allows the face of the doll to remain in shadow, i would be interested in seeing what an overhead spotlight would look like to give the wall a pure white background and letting the doll stand out more.
