Me Absurdities Page 11 "Reason Behind the Madness"Ice Cream is had by all! Except the Rachni Queen, it seems. Even XO Pressly gets to chow down on some Vanilla Ice Cream in the background. He's definitely in a better mood now.
Venus Shepard explains why she did the whole "head clutching" thing! Seems there was a reason besides its utter adorableness! Who know?

The asari that the Rachni Queen controlled briefly was a dead Asari Commando. You can see this when the Rachni Queen asks you to spare it, and Liara asks you not to doom an entire race to extinction again.
