Playing around with some violet tones and yellow ;DIt's based mostly on the Cephea Cephea jellyfish, but with lots of changes in shape and color

I like how each of the jellyfish you paint has a different form and different character. Besides the colours are just lovely. This one kind of reminds me of portuguese man-of-war but with more colourful twist to it ^^ Do you base your jellyfishes on actual species or do they come straight from your imagination? c:

Thank you! Yes, this one in particular was inspired by a photo of a jellyfish on a book about invertebrates that I have: it was all yellow with some light-blue parts, so I tried to mantain these particular features, with a different color. Sadly it didn't appear inside the book so I had no clue on its species, but now I'll try some researching to update the description
But mostly I'm mixing basic features and colors, mostly it's an imagination work, it's like drawing a lion, but all red and with tiger stripes xD

Well then, I applaud your imagination in this case xD More so, because your jellyfishes really seem like they could be alive. Oh, and 'caravel' is another name for the species I mentioned earlier, I think. I looked it up and to my astonishment it is not even a jellyfish really

Yep, it's a colony of sea nopes or something like that.
But everything that it's jelly-like, stings and lives in the water is pretty much a jellyfish to me xD
Also I'm still searching for this one - looks of the Cepheidae family (so a "true" jellyfish), maybe the Cephea Cephea but still not sure, I've changed it a lot
