I was thinking about my childhood days and the fun times I've had playing with simple toys. It amazes me how kids today have all these complicated gadgets: PC, PS2, XBOX, Gameboys, cell phones. When i was growing up, my friends and I made our own toys from whatever things we can find. These include playing with spiders, snakes, rubber boats made out of flipflops, pop guns from bamboo sticks, bamboo canons, and yes . . . paper planes! Now adays it seems as though we're never satisfied enough with the simple little things. Everything has to be technologicaly advanced. Faster cars, faster computers, newest cell phones . . . etc. Sometimes I wish I could go back to being a child . . . I want to fly my paper plane.Related content

Same here, I am not much of a papre plane expert. I can make the basic ones but they are fun to fly. They are a favorite past time. Gone are the days with the simple things in life huh? Hope you are having a great weekend!

Remembering aeronutics: the other day we went up to a hill top and flew paper planes off (to get an idea of thermaling) It made me think alot of your drawing, and the long lost joy of flying paper planes)

You're so right about the simple childhood thing. Playing cooking out in the garden is so nostalgic. We used real cooking woks/utensils and we "cook" leaves and flowers.

Hey hey!!! hehehe actually this was my first attempt at vectorizing and I didn't use Illustrator either I just used Photoshop CS co'z I have no clue how to use Illustrator. I know that's very noobish. Oh ya I remember playing cooking with real cooking utensils only the food was grass and dirt and all that hahaha. You remember ever playing HOUSE? Puwahahahaha that one rocked the best! I won't get into any details but that was fun hahahaha jk.

OH YEAH!!!! Gotta love house! hahahahahaha the favorite part was when the girls say okay you can be the daddy I can be the mommy . . . okay time to go to sleeep! Puwahahahahahahaahaha!!!! LOL nothing happened I swear but it's just funny when I think about it. hehehehehe Oh yeah I remember my first game was Contra! My sis and i memorized the whole thing and can finish the game with 3 lives and end up having 1Ups so we'd have like 20 lives in the end. Gotta love that secret 30 lives trick though (up, down, up, down, left, right, left, right, select, start) hahahahhahahaha!!!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!! MARIO BROS YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

and i very much agree with the comment. i never had those complicated gadgets. i never used to watch tv. i played with those kinds of things too, though maybe not bamboo cannons...that sounds amazing, lucky!

Yeah those good old days where there was no TV no electronic gizmos were bunch of fun. It made me go out and exercise more! hehehe. Oh yah bamboo canons are bunch of fun specially if you've got the whole kids in town involved in it. We used to have this annual bamboo canon fest in our town where all the kids in our town battle other kids in another town. It was fun. A little dangerous but it was really fun! We used to have this huge war out in the fields. I remember wearing a huge pot for a helmet so I wont get hurt. It was a friendly fight just for fun usually during Christmas time. Yeah unfortunately I can't build one here in the U.S. I think cops would come and put me away for good if I'd do that!

By the way, if you've noticed that we don't play gunbound anymore... ur right. We switched to Maple Story. It is an 2D RPG online with chibi graphics like GB. Check it out at [link] Everybody is hooked to it... both my bros, harold, isaac, marbi, bong... even gago, peter. It's easy to rank up fast. I'm level 23 in 4 days. Not bad eh? get started fast man, or u'll be behind. It's fun. Even if u don't think u'll play it long, I insist u at least try it.
