You haven't heard much about this film, have you? lol Not saying that to be rude at all, but there is a lot of stuff that is pointing to be the exact opposite of your worries. It is directed by Gareth Edwards who did character driven indie film 'Monsters' it's story/screen play is by Max Borenstein (Swordswallers and Thin Men) and Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile), and it stars Aaron Johnson (Nowhere Boy, Kick Ass) Juliette Binoche (Chocolat, Dan In Real Life), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Drive), Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene), Ken Watanabe (Inception, The Last Samurai), Sally Hawkins (Happy-Go-Lucky), and David Stratairn (Lincoln, Alphas)! It sounds sooooo far from Hollywood that it's not even funny! Oh and Gareth is a HUGE fan of the original Japanese cut of Gojira 1954. Give it a chance! You might just love it!

You people complain about everything. Be happy they are even attempting to bring monster movies back.
