So serene. I bet, on a day like that, anything that rippled the water could be heard so clearly.

Absolutely. Low cloud cover with fog makes the sound amazing. I love it when the lake is like that.

Wow! That's AMAZING! Perfect shot, the sheet of water looks like border between two worlds. Light and dark... yin and yang ^^ Fav, of course. Twice. ^^

very cool. i feel a lot of tension with this one, since there is no horizon. i like that.
reminds me of Godfather 2, where Michael kills his brother.

this is classic---its easy to take it for granted--but knowing how i can't do this (yet) makes me appreciate the expertise of the craftsmanship.
Bravo...
(i get lost in the whole slow speed long exposure--my husband even bought me a slr--actually the same one you used here--but it scares me...i work by momentary inspiration and i don't want to lose the moment)

This is a beautiful picture. I was wondering what kind of filters you use?

I didn't use a filter at all. It's a straight digital photo, turned to bw in PS (probably by desaturation). I don't believe I cropped it either. It was a misty morning on the lake and it was so still that I had to go out shooting.

The mist and rain have their own beauty, especially, it seems, on the lake.
