Description Yet another drawing of Neil Gaiman's character Death using my friend, the beautiful and sweet, Cassie as a reference. The same girl I used in the Portrait of Death painting.

This is really damn cool. You captured some serious, deep kindness in this girl's face. You don't see many warm faced people in artwork on here. It really stands out

Well, first of all, I'm slightly ashamed that I didn't comment on this gorgeous piece when it was submitted; just been feeling all moody and incoherent (i.e. Buh?) lately.

Anyway, beautiful linework, especially in defining Death's face and clothing. Nice flowing lines and stunning use of minimal but dynamic colour palette. Though I'm not usually into gothic colours, I love how the stark varying pale hues of her face contrasts against her violet eyes and midnight blue hair highlights; its a very powerful visual effect.

Proportions are all in order, and I love the benign and chirpy aura which you've lent her - which if I'm not mistaken, is her personality (haven't read any Sandman comics yet).

Can't think of anything to critique on, but I will ask - what media did you use? It looks like ink and textured paper (on that note, love the natural soft-hued border).

wow! thanks a lot! yea Death is usually a very up-beat person...err...endless "person"...thats why I love her character. You called all of the effects. It was inked then colored with prisma colors and bordered with different scrap book paper. Thanks again for the awesome comment!!!
