I'm a licensed Veterinary Technician. Like a registered nurse for animals.
I still read quite a bit on archaeology in my spare time. Ancient Egypt is what I'm most interested in. My dream is to one day help on a dig, and meet Dr. Zahi Hawass in person.

I am specializing in Egyptology, actually. I study at SUNY Potsdam currently and I hope to do a study abroad at AUC to get my Egyptology degree.

I never could work there, I had to take a year break after taking my MA for health problems and now I've lost contact with my teachers... mpf

Yes, I intend to. I actually would love to work at the Luxor Museum, or the new Imhotep Museum. Though the Cairo Museum probably has more job openings for beginners. Dan (my friend) specializes in the Old Kingdom, but they were making him catalog Amarna stuff. Neither of us like Amarna much, so I can imagine how frustrated he felt. Hopefully he will get his feet off the ground soon and get to do what he's good at. I hope the same goes for me! And good luck to you with your studies. Archaeology is a tough field, but as we both know, it is totally worth all the effort.

Thank god! in a simliar situation... am gonna make some more, will let you know when I do LOL My first real dig had a post hole shaped like a heart which I plan to use
