Β The russian version has beautiful animation and character designs. Loved the zebras and the lion.

You posted the link to re-voiced version of the Soviet cartoon. Music and voice acting is terrible in this version. Original version:

Wow, really intimidating! You wonderfully caught the power behind those eyes!
Although its character wasn't too explorable as a child I really loved his design. It was very distinctive and memorable. It could be really powerful if it wasn't for its characters flaws.
Could I ask you one thing? For years I've been looking for an old cartoon I saw just once as a child. It was about a lion cub and unfortunately I don't remember much, only that its mother might have been killed (I guess) and it went on a journey (also a guess), but what I remember for sure is this scene when an eagle talks with it and then leaves, hugging it and saying "ty ponimayu/pojoΕ mne" (you understand/understood me). Then the lion cub is shown as an adult lion roaring around, asking for if anyone dares to challenge it, and a lioness does; it ends with them both as a family (again, I think). If you recall it in any way, I would be extremely thankful for sharing the title. : )

Yes! It's very distinctive and has an unusual colour palette for a pelt. I have to repeat, you richly caught the lion's sheer might.
This character's design's uniqueness simply grabs attention. I guess it shouldn't be surprising as soviet Russian animations are simply wonderful, greatly artistic and so opulent in their vividness. I actually grew up on them. I love the "Nu, pogodi!" series. And "Koniok Gorbunok" (is it simply "The Humpbacked Horse" in English?) is my absolute favourite.
Yes! That's it! I can't believe it! You've got it from such a meagre description! You are simply a-m-a-z-i-n-g! I haven't seen it in, like, 15 or so years. You have no idea how grateful I am! Thank you so much!
