Description "Scala"

A baby dragon commissioned for 's fantasy story. Go check her stuff out!!

Done in Prismacolor colored pencils on 9 x 12in Bristol paper
(my scanner only scans in 8 x 11 however)

First time in a long time doing a reptile in color! Not to mention the iridescence. Lots of fun and a great learning experience. <3
The scales probably took the longest for those of you whom will ask.

You really did a lovely job making the feathers and scales have that iridescent gleam to them

yes, she was so cute in childhood) But as I remember, she had membraneous wings - in the film she was done with feathers wings)

Yes Saphira had leathery membranes with feathers growing out of them, this dragon has just feathers.
I did not reference, but was inspired by Saphira's design.
This drawing was a commission, so the dragon was described to look this way
when I was asked to draw it.
Here was my reference: fav.me/d8yn9aj

I talk a lot. ^^' I'm sorry if it looked that way.

Most people don't notice details and I got excited that you did, I wanted to show you what I was thinking & what I referenced from etc. since you seemed interested.

It was in English. I forgot the name of the narrator.
I hadn't listened to an audiobook before Eragon, so I do not know if it was good or poor lol.
But I thought it sounded ok.

I read the first book 6 years ago and was strongly impressed. Then read other books. You can't imagine how I was waiting for the last fourth part on this story - in my native language the bool should have appeared only in summer, but I succeeded to get an english version of it - I was on the nine cloud, it didn't upset me that it wasn't in my native language, should say that no everything can be translated from english to russian - some jokes or atmosphere or just treatment. Something can be understood in different way  - that's why it can't be translated) So I read this book from cover to cover during 5 days - I couldn't make me stop.
And after reading book the film wasn't so good as earlier - I saw so many differences, mistakes. For example: the childhood of Saphire in the forest on the tree, or how Brom was killed - by razzaks, not by the arrow( The film would be good, if there wasn't the book. The same features were the cause, why there wouldn't be the continue(
Sorry, when I talk about my favourite books, I can't stop)

I should really take a visit to the library teehee. Oh you are Russian? That is a beautiful language, my cousin tried to learn it a few years ago.

Is English common in Russia or did you choose to take a class on it? You type it very well.

Maybe it's private question, but I really wonder what do you think about America and Russia relationships?) Just interesting, that's all) you can answer in private note in case)

mysteriouswhitewolf In reply to ElenPanter [2015-09-01 16:48:13 +0000 UTC]

I don't mind answering.
What do you mean by relationship? Do you mean by people as lovers or friends overseas? Or do you mean relationship as 2 countries?

Russia as a country has a reputation in America of being a bit scary, and strict or stern.
I am not too familiar with politics so I do not know much about relations politically.
Though the culture old history of Russia is presented often through movies and school.
The animated movie Anastasia for example was a big hit.
And I am a big fan of much of the wolf lore that comes from Russia.

But Russians as individual people are viewed just like everyone else.
No one would say not to be friends or in a relationship with someone just because they are Russian for example.

How is America viewed over there? I hear most countries think American's are stupid ^^'

ElenPanter In reply to mysteriouswhitewolf [2015-09-02 10:14:07 +0000 UTC]

Sorry, I was sick yesterday, couldn't answer)
My message just dissapeared, because I accidently overloaded the page >_<
So, yeah. I do not like politics as well and don't know about it a lot, but heard that there is tension between Russia and America because of Ukraine's situation.
Anastasia is really good movie - I adore it)) Sorry, I didn't understood what you meant by "wolf lore"  - what is it? xD During last years there's tendention to film there some animated movies about our mythological characters, for example: Dobrynya Nikitich and Zmey Gorynych  this one is quite good, next ones as  Ivan Tsarevish and the grey wolf (there is russian trailer but with English subtitles vimeo.com/76299273 )
I'm agree that it's absurd no to make friendship only because political relationships between some countries are not good. The main is the men, with whom you communicate, not the politic of his country.
Personally I think that you, americans, are not bad people, don't see the reason not to communicate with you) I like your way of life, I always admired what you eat for example, eggs with bacon, bread with jam or nut) Because we don't eat such things, usually we make just bread with butter and some sausage or cheese)
Don't think that you're stupid... maybe strange because of other culture and way of life, but cute)

mysteriouswhitewolf In reply to ElenPanter [2015-09-02 19:04:23 +0000 UTC]

By "lore" I meant folkore, legends and stories about wolves, many come from Russia.

Oh your animations look very different from ours. I never thought to ask. That is cool!

Yes peanut butter and jelly or jam is very common. Sausage and cheese sounds good too though!
I love meat haha. But I don't eat a lot of bacon, but my family does eat a lot of bacon they love it.
I like chicken and beef <3
I'll share a recipe with you.
Mix a bowl of half ranch dressing with half mayonaise (if Russia has these),
then in a separate bowl crush up some crackers or very dry bread (you want crunchy),
and take raw boneless chicken (any size) and dip it into bowl mixture of mayo & ranch so that the meat is completely covered in the mixture,
after move the chicken and dip in other bowl of crushed crackers or bread, you want the crumbs to cover over all of the chicken,
when finished put your chicken pieces on a non stick pan and heat in the oven until the crust from the bread or crackers is golden brown. Then serve.
It is my favorite recipe.

I heard U.S. drinks more milk than other countries too.

(sorry if you got multiple message my computer is acting up. O.o)

ElenPanter In reply to mysteriouswhitewolf [2015-09-02 20:33:16 +0000 UTC]

Woa, I see this shortening for the first time xD

We, russians, do not eat bacon - I don't remember it at all) Only when me and my parents visited another country - in hotel the bacon was offered - that's where I tasted it first.

My father always buys chicken - I love it, but can't eat it forever, that's why I prefer to buy a little bit of turkey fillet and fry with tomatoes, onions and some fresh green, I add there a little bit milk and tomato paste to get a dressing) Oh, and I adore a soup with mutton - it has some specific taste on my opinion^^  - I tasted in one small village

Thank you a lot for a recipe! I really want to taste with.... turkey I think And yes, we have mayonaise, but about "Ranch dressing" I didn't know - I looked for it in the Internet just now and found a good recipe of it, so soon hope to taste it all)
I remember I tried somewhere a Greek salad, but I changed it a little bit, when began to do it myself - my all family was very suprised but they like it) I use leaves of salad iceberg, little tomatoes cherry not very mild - so that they wouldn't flow soon - some rusk (usually ready with the taste of tomato and dill), mussels, brynza (sheep's milk cheese). First of all I cut the salad - not in big parts, then mussels - usually in small pieces, brynza in average cubes, and cherry in four parts maybe in two, then I put there rusks, salt it all, wikle out a little bit of lemon, add sunflower-seed oil and mix it up mildly trying not to make a squash from it

I think you are right - sometimes I drink wil with tea, sometimes when I sit at evening before computer before go to sleep) I like to drink it cold - don't know why, but it is tastier in such way (yes, I wrote many times the word "taste" - I just didn't know some variant of this word xD) I prefer drinking some juices - especially orange, apple and cherry.

What are your hobbies?) When did you start to draw?)

About message - I got only one from you) I understand you, mu computer also like to joke)

I do not even know why bacon tastes different from
pork chops and grounded pork.

Is spam pork or ? I dont even know. Haha.

I had to google "mutton" I have heard the word before but did not know what kind of meat it was.
Lamb meat is more commonly sold to eat here than adult sheep. :'C
I do not want to eat babies. lol. I don't think I have ever had sheep before. I would eat meat from an adult.
Is it much different than beef?

I like turkey, but often it is too dry for me.
Turkey tastes good in gravy I think.
My mom says I eat too much chicken haha!!

I also had to google "rusk" lol. Learning new things!
We have similar kinds of bread I can substitute it with.
That salad sounds delicious!!
My fiance will like it very much. I have to make it for him soon. Thank you so much!

My mom drinks coffee allll day looonggg. x__x Milk is my favorite, but I do like frozen coffee sometimes.
I like green tea with honey once in awhile, usually when I am sick, it is very soothing.

I collect wolf statues, dragons, other animals, make jewelry, trading cards for Pokemon and Magic: The Gathering.
I like hiking and window shopping (where we go look at shops but don't buy anything lol).
I love reading animal science books, and art books. I have a bookshelf full.
Animal behavior really interests me. But I love many aspects of science.
I also love fantasy, legends, etc.
Oh I collect crystals, rocks, and stones, I am very spiritual, I believe they can hold/amplify/channel energy.
I believe in the power of intention. And Karma. And God.  (weird mix I know haha)

I started drawing when I was 11, anime inspired me so much I tried drawing the characters over and over and I slowly got better.
And that mixed well with my love of animals. I started shading/doing portraiture when I was 18 in 2010. And shortly after I joined dA.
I had always wanted a deviantART account but I never owned a computer until I met my fiance.

And now I am here. I work part time at an art studio.

Sorry for not answering so long - there were some problemes with this site and notifications were not seen)
Bacon always differs in taste xD
Yes, you know, the mutton has more savoury taste, than beef - you'll understand it just after tasting it)
As I wrote already - I always cook turkey with gravy. My father is always buying chicken - I love it, of course, but not so often xD
Did you try my salad? How did you like it?)
I didn't know there is a "frozen coffee" 😁😁😁 Never heard of it. When I'm sick I usually drink black tea with honey and lemon. Also I adoooore tea with cherry - not all cherry teas suite me - only by the mark "frutis - wild cherry" - it' really delicious - it smells, looks and tastes as a real cherry - I can drink it forever xD
Can't say that I collect something just now - recently I collected little horse statues) recently I started to sculpture my own sculptures - usually felines, cause horse has thin legs, and I d not have idea how to make it thin) also I have a lot of fantasy books - my cupboard is full of them)) Especially I love adventure books - old ones - like 15the old captain, the childeen of captain Grant, Moon stone, the last of Mogicans, the heart of three, the secret Island, Jule Werne usually - I'm not sure that it's right translation of his books
I' m also spiritful - can't say, that I'm really believe in the God, I'm rather believd in what I believe - ghd spirits of nature, of every element, of every character of the cartoons, that I loved in my childhood) They just live in me, near or everywhere, if you understand me) every time i'm goint no matter where - I play my own histories in mh mind- it's much interesting and not so boring when you're alone)
I started drawing when i was about the same age as you - I drew only horses(I guess J have somewhere these pictures) only later I began drawing other animals, but that's horses, who inspired me a lot and the cartoon Spirit) drawing digitally I began 1 year ago - it's really a year passed) ghat's when I decided to draw mh own comic about dinosaurs, do not dnow why dinosaurs - I've never adored drawing them - so it's a mystic even for me)) I have tried different types of shading, but I did not manage to possess it,so I continued to shade in my own style) I joined DA 8 january of 2015) it's the first anniversary of my being here, yeah)) I remember I saw it befire joining, but never thought about joining it) i decided to do it just to submit some my works and only later - my comic)
Woah, it's interesting! You dedicated your work to the art?)

(Don't worry about how long it took to reply, doesn't bother me.)

I havent made your salad yet!! D:

I really hope to soon though!!

Frozen coffee is so yummy!
There is an actual cold medicine here that is in a tea/honey/lemon mixture, you make it like real tea by heating it up and you drink. i5.walmartimages.com/dfw/dce07…
Very soothing.

I have never heard of cherry tea! That is so cool.
Though most cherry flavor here taste like medicine, in a very unpleasant way to me. haha.

What is Moon Stone about? I have heard of The Last of the Mohecans. They made a movie from it I think.
I have not heard of the others you mentioned.
I have not read many novels, though I'd like to. It's really hard to find time.

That is okay, everyone has a different view on spirituality.
Even under the same roof in a church many will disagree on little details.
So I don't fret too much about it, everyone just needs to follow what they believe in their heart
and that's all that matters. I don't follow a lot of traditional christianity for example, my grandmother is very religious,
and my aunt is SO religious she is very closed minded, while my mom is more open minded, and me even moreso, I've had people call me a "hippy" haha.
My niece is pagan/christian, my nephew is agnostic. But everyone is accepted and loved.

Yes there are cartoon characters I love too, from a lot of anime I watch the stories are very serious.
Well, usually. lol. It has been a big joy in my life, anime is what got me into art, and will be a part of me
for the rest of my life haha. Oooh Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron is such a GOOD MOVIE <3
I have always loved the animal movies like that,
Lion King, Balto, Bambi, Brother Bear, Tarzan, The Jungle Book, Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmation's, The Fox and the Hound, Aristocats, Dumbo, etc.

I will be an old lady still watching cartoons I love them so. XD

Oh cool! I have wanted to do a comic for a long time, but never find time to finish haha.
I have too many projects at one time.
That is good that you are experimenting with unfamiliar things like dinosaurs.
We never know where our interests will lead so its not too strange that you chose dinosaurs.
Here lately for me it's been other animals like deer bear and birds, but I think I should do more wolves soon.
I miss them haha.

Congratulations to a year on dA!!

Yes I volunteer and help out at a local studio now in exchange for classes.
I'm really going to work hard this year to make money from commissions. I have quite a few things I need to upload.
But my scanner is not big enough to scan one image, so I am waiting for a sunny day with good enough light to take a photo.
Then I can upload everything else. I've been making jewelry lately so maybe I can make some money from that too.

Hope, you'll like the salad!

Yeah, I know this mixture, and also use it sometimes to cure quicker)

You know, I noticed that there isn't tasty cherry tea in Russia - only abroad. I really tried all the cherry teas and nothing can compare to foreign tea)

Here I find the description about the Moonstone by Wilkie Collins: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Moon…
I know that from "The last of mohican" was also made a cartoon series but the end was changed( I think, old british novels are really fantastic, interesting and exciting!)) Recently I went to the bookshop to buy some interesting books, but noticed not in the first time that the annotation nowadays doesn't describe what is the book about - so you can understand, what there is in the book, it's a pity And then we started to talk about this theme with my friend and suddenly I decided to reread some old books: I read them when I was in the 5-6 classes of shool (at the age of 11-12) and some detais  rubbed away from my mind - so I think, that rereading them now will discover something new for me, and I will understand what I didn't understand reading the first time)

My grandmother is very religious too - while I was grown up more in ateistic manner) But I believe a little be, not only in the God, but in the spirits of nature or every thing. And I really think that animals can understand people, but they just don't want to give a sign of it) I just believe

Yes, I love old cartoon too, they were drawn on paper, not on the computer - unfortunately this department of drawing was closed - but they drew so good and cool. Nevertheless, there are really coold digitally drawn cartoons - How to train dragon, Bolt, Zootopia(which would be showed in the cimena soon). I also like Madagascar a lot, and many other cartoons about animals) Sometimes I rewatch old movies  - just can't help doing it xD

I started it suddenly even for me - my friend was really surprised, cause she know that I adore drawing animals, but never take a great interest in dinosaurs to draw them) Firstly I tried to draw dinosaurs more realistic-looking, but them I started drawing them in my own style xD

I like wolfs too, and practice drawing them, especially maws and teeth xD

Thanks! I just didn't notice ohow that year passed so quickly!)

By the way, I didn't understand properly about commissions, how it works here?
Do you draw only traditionally?)

I might have to read Moonstone sometime.

I like some of the new CGI animations too.
How to Train Your Dragon is definitely a favorite for me aswell.
I am looking forward to some of Disney's new upcoming things.
Like you mentioned Zootopia, there is also Finding Dory, new live action/CGI Jungle Book, The Secret Life of Pets, Moana. etc. Coming out soon-ish.
But yeah the old ones never get old. Haha funny that. I miss the 2D art.

Commissions:
When an artist is asked to make something for a client who is willing to trade, pay with dA points, or buy with money.
I'm willing to work for collectible items or money. Though, so far all of my commissions have been payed for with money.

Money is usually transferred through a system called PayPal. (separate from dA) Because it is easy and safe to use.
Most artists ask for a deposit (a portion of the price payed ahead of time) before beginning a requested commission.

People obtain dA points in lots of different ways as I am sure you are aware, they are regularly used as currency on dA for special privileges like memberships or journal skins.

Items are simply shipped through the mail if the artist asked for them.

Yes, I am a traditional artist; so when I am finished with a commission I ship the original physically to the client.
I have done only one real digital piece, I don't enjoy working digitally as much. I like looking at other's digital art better lol.

So, you didn't read the rest books yet?) During last time I watch Supernatural while drawing... and before it I just listened to the music, but as I dislike listening to the same music, I decided to rewatch this serial, cause new season appeared)
Yeh, Russian) And how your friend finds it? Easy to learn? These cases, different declensions, I won't tell about terminations (or endings) Maybe you studied Latin? Then there is something similar)
Only during  last few years English appeared in our school as one of main subjects - starting with the second form (or class) of education. I started learning English seriously only in the 7th class ( when I entered a gymnasium (in Russia it's a school with deep study of special subjects; there is much more hometask to do than in usual school - hope, you understood) - it's my father send me here) So maybe I should say that it's him who chose me to take a class on it)
But I remember when my father decided to bring me to english class. I was about 6-7 years old. I was just sitting and thinking: emmm... what is it the language they speak? maybe alien maybe. I really didn't understand these sounds and words. And when teacher asked me to tell something - I just couldn't repeat these strange phrases))
So seriously I've been learning English for 7 years
Really? ^^ I'm happy to hear it, thank you a lot! And you?  English is your native language, as I can see?

Yeah, this message is the longest for all my life

mysteriouswhitewolf In reply to ElenPanter [2015-09-01 17:16:47 +0000 UTC]

No I havent yet! But I want to!

I have not seen Supernatural, but I have heard of it. What is it like?
I mostly watch Anime. Here lately though I have been watching a lot of Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead.
I am embarrassed to admit I watch Teen Wolf too haha.
I draw while I watch things too!

My cousin found Russian difficult, but he was determined so listened to audio lessons everyday when he drove to work, so he did pick up a lot,
he wasn't fluent but he could understand basic conversation. When he spoke it he was told he sounded too formal. lol.
He learned to write in it too.
He just really liked the the language.

I would LOVE to learn Latin. Then I could understand all the scientific classifications of animals. lol.
But having a second language is not as common in U.S. as it is in other countries.
When people do learn a second language here it is usually Spanish, since much of or neighbors in South America speak Spanish.
Second common is probably German or French. I tried to learn Japanese as a kid but I was home-schooled, so I could not take classes.

Oh so English was not common until your 7th grade year?
Sound like you went to a very nice school though.
In the U.S. most schools have gymnasiums but they are used for physical education like sports, we also have separate classes that teach culinary arts like cooking.
Is that what you mean by hometask?

Haha alien lmao!! I heard English is confusing. We have so many words that mean the same thing.

Example:
"You only live once so we watched the show live."
or-
"She did not want to read a book she had already read." O.o'

Or how 'lead' as in "leader" is pronounced differently than "lead" as in the chemical element. @~@
But is spelled the same.

I have a bad reputation for writing really long messages lmao I do this all the time. XD

ElenPanter In reply to mysteriouswhitewolf [2015-09-02 10:57:11 +0000 UTC]

Oh, this serial is really interesting for  me - first of all I like actors who filmed there, they're really funny and amazing, like to laugh and joke) They're fighting against bad spirits, werewolfes, vampires and in last seasons against demons and angels)

I watched some anime) Maybe beacause I don't lile alot their too big eyes, too short dresses and skirts, their behavior) just can't say) I didn't see the Game of Thrones, but heard of it) I wanted to read the book during the summer, but... I forgot always about this series of books when entered bookshop to buy a new book) And I remembered I saw somewhere in the internet, that the number of murdered people in this book is the biggest xD

My congratulation to him, as he understands bacic conversation - it's good beginning)  It's not strange for me, that he sounds too formal - cause we, russians, practially always talk informal - make our words shorter, even sentences. I can give you an example: usually when we're going to go somewhere, maybe a shop, we open our door from the apartment and cry "I'm out" - when in fact we should tell a complete sentence: "I went to the shop". Or there is our own russian joke, when somebody asks you: where you? (instead of "where are you going?") and we answer:  go back soon (instead of "I go to the cinema and I will go back soon") So... there are some features in our language

You know, I've been learning Latin  for a year, on the first year of education in university) It was studied not with the aim to talk, but just translate some texts, we even translated some sequence, which were not translated yet) It's cool to learn this language, but there are so many times and a special forms of time - perfect and inperfect, and many endings for verbs and nouns and adverbs... so you understand) It's practically as difficult as russian)

In our shools from the 5th class pupils start learning second language - usually it's French or German as well, more rarely spanish - only in specialised schools. Japanese is really difficult - the interpreter should know ten thousands signs) But nevertheless this language is beautiful) Maybe you would be able to study it in university?)

Yeah, should agree with you, I remember there was a lot of homework to do in English) We don't have culanary arts classes,  but my mother said that in Soviet times there were such classes, but to the time when I went to schools they were canceled.
And I meant hometast - what teacher says you to do at home - for example  hometask of mathematics, biology)
Yeah, I know such things in your language) Now I'm better in English and in understanding such phrases) Such different pronunciations have place in my language as well)

Should tell, I'm happy to write such a long letter - it's interesting and exciting) Our letters become longer and longer xD

Well from the name "Supernatural" it makes sense that they would fight such things.
Sounds interesting I will have to watch it.

Yes, everyone likes different things, not everyone likes anime.
Me and my fiance watch them all the time. We are weirdo's you see. Haha.
Not many friends. But we have eachother.

Game of Thrones has a really good story and characters, but there is a LOT of nudity/sex which is kinda annoying.
It is because the time period is medieval that stuff was common. >.< I still don't like it though lol.
And so many die.... D': I get mad at the T.V. and yell sometimes haha.

English is similar, especially now with texting, people sometimes actually talk like text to eachother, for example saying "B.R.B." in person when ending a conversation instead of saying "Be right back." O.o

Oh wow very cool! So Latin is difficult too?
I suppose no new language is "easy" to learn.

Ah yes Japanese is hard to learn to write, so many symbols. O___O
I never tried learning to write it haha. I just wanted to understand what they were saying in their pretty songs.
I listen to a lot of Japanese music, many from the T.V. shows, they are so pretty but I wish I knew what they were saying.
I've looked online where people translated some of them but it is not the same as really knowing yourself since some things
get translated funny. I learn bits and pieces when I can.
Me and my fiance want to learn Spanish since he is full blood Mexican, he was born in the U.S. and his grandparents never taught him Spanish unfortunately,
but we want to learn for ourselves and so that when we have children we can teach them to know both languages of their heritage.

Ooooh! Home tests. We call it homework. I know what you mean now.
We get piled down with it. Children come home with so much homework papers.
It is hard for the younger ones because they want to go play and they can't until after they finish it each day.

It's really worth to watch it) At least first 3-4 seasons)
If you don't have some strangenesses you're strange - as said one person)

Wow( I don't like when there is a lot of nudity and sex in books or in films - I rather interested in the story, not how people do these things. I remember it was epic and the worst, when me and my father watched some film and there suddenly started sex scene and just exactly in this moment my mom came in the room o_O xD Though I'm now a student the situation didn't change xD
Yeah, don't like when characters die, especialy whom I like(

I saw some text examples: 4 instead of "for", 4ever - forever. I understand that it is useful in texting, but in oral speech? Sometimes I can't understand even writing shortening *_*
Agah) Latin is really difficult) I remember how our teacher made us to learn all these words with their gender and endings)
I think it's a good idea to learn Spanish by yourselves and then teach it to your children - in younger age you learn more, better and easier) By the way it develop some thinking processes  and you language. In my childhood I adored watching cartoons in different languages - I didn't know what characters were talking about, but I understood all. Such a nonsense

Oh, now I know how to name it correctly - homework)
Thank you
In higher classes there is always a lot of it to do - I imagine it) But in university homework is even bigger and awful xD I really don't understand why all people say that the first year in universtity is the easiest - I think they specially say it to frighten us) Fortunately I'm on the 3rd year and can say that the first one wasn't easy. My brother is on his 4th year in school - he's always delaying doing homework for evening - and then he complaint that he sleeps bad xD
That's children - they always want to play, not learn. Though I'm student - I want to play my fantasy play, create my own stories in my head, draw and read a lot instead of doing homework) That's why I usully make it only in the evening) but the exceptions can be)

Thank you!!

Haha took me 9 days straight. I have a callus on my middle finger, and it got bigger from working on this drawing. Because of the the way I hold my pencil it rests on my middle finger,
and when I push hard to get things vivid/dark my middle finger braces the pencil. I actually had to bandage my finger with tape because the pencil was leaving an indentation on the skin of my finger during the process. X.x
My fam thought it was going to turn into a blister but it didn't thankfully lol.

Ow wow!  I don't think I've gotten a callus or blister on my finger from drawing and coloring, that is hard core!  I do get pretty bad wrist and arm pain though, it's decreased my art/coloring production a lot.  Tendonitis, I think.  Do you get that?

mysteriouswhitewolf In reply to WooflesArt [2015-07-27 16:06:08 +0000 UTC]

I know a lot of artists do but so far I am lucky to not have tendonitis. I think it may have something to do with mostly drawing on a surface rested on my lap.
So my arms are always inturned and resting on something.
Whereas many people do their art on a table or easel that they have to reach out to, and sometimes their hand isn't rested on anything.
Or it could be just that there is a great distance between when I draw something, so the long breaks allow rest preventing severe inflammation.
Sometimes I go a month or so without doing any substantial drawing, just doodles.

Hmm, I usually draw on a table, but my arms and hands are resting on the table because I lean over it.
I'm thinking maybe I need to do more doodles and pencil drawings not just because I need to practice more form and anatomy, but also it is easier on the wrists/hands/arms.

It turned out amazing. I love how you portrayed her. Sadly she doesn't show in the story until the next book. ;D

Haha thank you! I had a lot of fun portraying her.
I imagine her personality being almost like Duckey from Land Before Time, curious and cute. <3
