Description To my dearest friend and sister,

Ever since we've spent our time together in mommy's belly, you and I have been closer than I could of ever imagined. All of my best memories have you in them, and I can't even think what it could be like without you. I find it funny that while others would always ask what it was like to have a twin, we would have to ask what it was like to have a younger or older sibling.

But of course, we can both appreciate the answer to that question. As long as I've remembered, you've always been there for me, and you've always understood me perfectly. Our parents must've hated that, that if there were an argument with them, one of us would always back up the other. It must harder to get angry with your kids, when you have to get angry with both. I remember when we were little, we would be sent to time out, mostly for arguing with each other. We would sitting across from each other in separate chairs, and it was if a switch had been turned on, in which we would start making faces at each other until we burst out laughing. Then of course, mommy would yell at us again for making noise during the time out.

Our arguments were always like that, never completely serious, and never lasting long. Even when it turned into a wrestling match, I think we both knew subconsciously that neither of us really meant it. You most definitely remember this one, when we were fighting over a pair of scissors, while wrestling, and I accidently stabbed you with the scissors. I probably should of put them down before we started physically fighting, but even then you knew I didn't mean it. We both regretted that particular fight, because I remember it ending with both of us wailing, and you cutting things up for me because mommy banned me from scissors for a long time after that.

We enjoyed everything together, and I don't remember doing much separately from you. Whenever we played separately, it never seemed as much fun, and we ultimately ended up drifting back together. I remember the snowball fights, the running around in the sprinkler together, and the game where we would set up "traps" for an imaginary robber in the garage. Maybe we watched too much Home Alone?

Even as we became teenagers, we only grew closer and closer together. I remember those walks to and from school, where we would talk about everything and anything.  We would start on one subject, and then once we got close to our destination, try and trace how we got from that subject to the completely different subject we were just on. That was also the age where we just stopped arguing altogether, because we would agree to disagree and we both knew that nothing one of said would change to mind of the other. I think we both had a moment of realization when we were hanging out in your room and mommy called us from upstairs, and we responded to her with the exact same words at the exact same time, three times in a row. Now that was surreal. We knew we were close and nothing could change that.

And now we're both at separate universities, but still I think nothing has changed about us. We may not share as much time together, and we may not talk as much, but still nothing has changed between us. I know our parents wonder how that can be when we don't even talk once a week, but it's still there. Mommy in particular keeps asking what's new with you. I keep telling her that I have no clue and that she probably chats with you more than I do. But we both know that talking between us has nothing to do with recent updates, and more about opinions than anything. Maybe that's why we understand each other most of all.

There is so much more I wish I could put in this letter, but it already sounds like a love-letter. But maybe that's what it is, and there's nothing else I can say but I love you.

         Your Sister.
