Well, the original image is actually concept art from Disney (as far as I know anyway) so...kinda hard to get their actual permission

Based on that, any and all bases and linearts on this site need to be removed. There are so many people that make and post bases from things like this (famous movies/shows/whatever) and it's impossible for base makers to get legal permission from these people for stuff like this. I, personally, do not really see an issue in having this up. However, if you honestly feel that I should remove this, feel free to report me I guess. Oh, and I can't really do anything about all of the people that have used this base (and the many others that I have posted) so, sorry about that =/

Like i just showed you in the link,this just isn't allowed on DA. I'm trying to make ppl aware of it, because they don't seem to know the rules on DA.

And like i said, your not suppose to post stuff you can't get permission to post.

If you spent hours on something,you wouldn't want anyone else using it without your permission, would you?

The purpose of DA is for artist who make their own work, to get exposure.ppl need to find other sites to post stuff like this of artist who already have an art career and leave room for aspiring artist.

And bty that excuse that "everyone one else does it" is the oldest,lamest excuse in the book. If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you wanna do it too?


And your last statement, you can help spread the word by posting a journal,or mentioning it in your next deviation.(something you actually drew)

Sheesh, you don't have to be so snippy about all this. I'm trying to be nice here but I've about had it with your harassment -.-
Look, I understand the point you're trying to make but seriously, do you really think you can manage to get every single base artist to remove their work? Bases and linearts are a good thing, they help new artist practise and learn (and it's fun to colour and play with a base someone else made.)
Tell you what, if I get contacted by someone from Disney telling me to remove this, I gladly will. Seeing as you don't own the original image, I don't see why you're getting so snippy with me about this.
Also, I never made the "everyone's doing it" excuse, I simply said that there are many other people doing the exact same thing and that there's nothing wrong with it.
Oh, and by the way, dA has a category made for these (this deviation happens to be in that category) so I really do not see the problem.

Ahh, I also happened to skim your gallery earlier (I always look at the artwork of the people that comment on my stuff, just for the heck of it.) I must say, you're very talented. But I find it rather amusing that you have artwork of copyrighted characters in your gallery yet you haven't given proper credit to the original artists. And I doubt you got permission from them to draw the "fanart" (which dA has a category for that as well.) So, I guess if "uncredited" fanart is okay to post, it must be okay to post "uncredited" bases as well ^^

First of all, i'm not being snippy. I'm trying to explain the rules you don't care to read. Your just getting mad because you want be right.

And the fan art 'I DREW'.....well that's the point, i drew it free hand my with my own twist. And i mention what/who the characters are and that's all that is needed since i drew the pictures myself, I am the original artist of those pics.

I never said i was trying to get every single artist to remove the stolen/traced/rendered, bases in their gallery, just spread the word that those aren't allowed.

I offered a solution to that issue, but you just don't want to accept the rules.
Your just being a butthurt at this point. There is no need for you to get all worked up. Like i said, i was just helping you to understand the rules.

But if you don't want to follow them, fine, you will never get anywhere as an artist.

So cute how you're trying to hurt me with your words. I've dealt with people like you before and I can tell you this: harassment will get you nowhere.
Love that you're telling me that I'll never get anywhere as an artist, yet I've won competitions with my artwork. Seems to me I'll do just fine. Though that's hardly the point of being an artist. Being an artist isn't about getting somewhere, it's about doing something you love, expressing yourself, getting your feelings out. Art is supposed to be fun. Yet here you sit, trying to turn it into something it's not.

Anyway, regardless of the fact that you are, obviously, a negative-minded person, I will be nice enough to say (again) that you yourself are honestly a decent artist and I wish you a happy life. This argument is done now. And since my life is stressful enough as it is, I honestly have no choice but to block you (don't take it personal, I just medically cannot handle this kind of stress and I have to do what I can to avoid it.)

Um, i don't think thats what he meant. You are stealing ppl's art, plain and simple. And from what i've read, you, seem to be the negative one.(i'm not trying to be mean to you)

And you do not have the right to tell ppl they MUST give you credit for this. I'ts not your art.

Okay, I was going to argue with you but I'm seriously in no mood to deal with this bullshit again. Mind your own fucking business. If you (or anyone else) hate seeing people make and post bases, then don't look at them -.-

I gave credit to the original artist (you know, Disney) And you two act as if I'm the only person on this site that makes bases (there are freakin' groups on here for this stuff okay, get the fuck over it.) The only reason that I want people to credit me (FOR THE BASE, NOT FOR THE ORIGINAL ARTWORK) is 'cause I actually worked hard to make this base look good (of course, it's not my best and I've been tempted to redo it.)

It's not "stolen art" it's called a traced base. Which, dA has a category for that (pretty sure I said this while arguing with that other idiot.)

-.- I'm just repeating myself at this point. If you don't like that I'm posting bases, then don't look at my gallery (and you should probably just leave dA since there are so many base artists on here.)
