Personality

Rei is a very different type of creature as a whole. He is often viewed as kind and calm when trying to act normal around others during the day. He is very observant and does like to watch others walk about and he will often walk them home out of kindness, but in reality, that is only part of his plan. Rei is an unknown species of alien that takes the appearance of whatever species are near him for life, so he appears to be very much human. During the night, he places on his mask and will actually begin to track those that he helped down just to strike them while they sleep, since he knows their location.

Rei must consume the hearts of the species that he changed into in order to survive, the type of heart being humanoid hearts. During the night, he is stealthy and quiet, he also shows no remorse towards his specific targets that he remembers the location of. He will ignore all other civilians and will actually be very unresponsive towards them unless made violent. When he kills a victim, he will often savor every second of it and will sometimes even save their hearts for a later meal. He also shows no mercy towards other relatives of the victim if they try to harm him, but he is often long gone by the time they realize what happened.

When it comes down to people that he REALLY, REALLY loves, he will form an overprotective bond over them so they will not leave him. He will talk to them, stalk them, and will attempt to harm anyone that dares to touch them. He can also become extremely jealous and will try to kill the person that is talking to who he is interested in unless they are family or he is told that they are only friends.

If you are allied with Rei, good for you, you are spared and he will mostly communicate with you like any other species. He will even kill people for you if you point him in the right direction. Just don’t make him your enemy, he will not spare you then. Best to stay on that good side.

Overall, Rei is a dangerous man if you are on his target list that can be very stealthy and has a cannibalistic appetite. He is also unable to feel pain, making him even more dangerous if he is attacked. His main goal in life is to survive, nothing else.

Weapons

- Tentacles: Rei has several tentacles under his skin that can come out of any part of his body. They can stretch, change width and length, can turn razor sharp, and have enough force to pierce metal. He also tends to use his tentacles to grab up heavy objects, including cars and can even use them to swing on something to launch himself far distances. They can be cut, but they will eventually regenerate unless the wound has been burned.

- Barbed Wire: Rei tends to use barbed wire the most against his victims or enemies. He uses them to grab people so he can see damage happen through time instead of being instantly killed with his tentacles. They also tend to pierce his skin, but he doesn’t feel any of it.

- Enhanced Strength: He is able to crush enemies if he lacks his tentacles or his barbed wire, he is very strong.

Other Alien Abilities

- Regeneration: He is able to quickly heal his wounds and regrow his tentacles unless severely harmed, it’ll take longer to heal.

- Enhanced senses

- Mind Control: If he feels too threatened, he can fire his tentacles at people and animals around him. The tentacles will then wrap their heads with a tight grip and mind control them until further notice or if they are removed. This is risky for Rei, since it will result in the loss of tentacles and he can only control so many at a time.

- No pain: He is unable to feel pain, this means that he can continue to be hurt and not feel a single thing.

- Salt: Salt will actually burn his tentacles and skin

- Fire: Fire can cause him to not regrow his tentacles and can weaken him

Brief Backstory

Rei was found as a baby in Germany over a century ago. He took the form of a human baby and was raised by two humans that had found him abandoned. These humans didn’t exactly last too long, however, since Rei had a hellish appetite and nothing they would feed him would satisfy the appetite. He eventually turned on his family and ate them inside out. When authorities were notified by a neighbor that hadn’t seen them for about two days, the authorities burst into the house that Rei was in and saw their bodies. Rei, however, was no longer the small newborn that they were informed of and was now a child. Rei was scared because he didn’t understand that what he did was wrong and, when threatened by the authorities that saw the blood on him, he ended up striking at them out of self defense and killed them too.

He ran quickly from his home, but the aging didn’t stop and neither did his hunger. Rei hid for decades and continued to rapidly age until he hit his 20’s, he then stopped aging and he eventually figured out that he had to eat humanoid hearts to survive. He quickly knew that he wasn’t human like his adoptive parents and figured that he best become adapted to his lifestyle, resulting in him becoming an assassin of the night to feed himself. He taught himself how to read, write, and function normally in human society by observing them. He never will encounter a species like his own, because as he found out rather quickly, they are all extinct except for him, and that’s why he is on Earth. He now goes into Umbra. He gained access to Umbra after getting a key from a victim of his. It is thought that he is in high allegiance with the more powerful beings and is considered a very excellent assassin.
