A remake of a picture I made seven years a go. I remade it because I wanted to compare my skills back then.
Looking back at my Ruby Gloom OC, I'm ashamed of how much of a self-insert he was. I figured since I was remaking this picture, now be good to revise and reintroduce my Ruby Gloom OC as ⴲmen.

His original backstory was that Misery found him sealed within a sword. Eventually through alchemy, the spell was broken and lived with them disguise as a human name "Colin" when really he was this OP edgy buff demon named Omen. Looking back, kinda ashamed how much of a self-insert and somewhat Mary Sueish character I made. but if anything I learned it's okay to start your OCs out as self-insert if you can imagine them as individuals later on.

So I now revised my Gloomsville OC. He still shares the same story and characteristics as before, but I've removed the "Colin" persona entirely from him. His official name is ⴲmen.
(I still ship him with Misery.)
Instead he'll have a single demon form which I based on his before design. The reason why I removed the hoody was because I wanted him to be more obvious a demon while still retaining a standard human shape. He doesn't need a powered form since Gloomsville is usually a peaceful place. He can still hold his own in a battle when needed though since he's been around since Camelot. Maybe if he's ever freed from his imprisonment and others encourage him to wear clothes, he'll wear the hoodie again.

Another thing in mind for him is that he is still bound by the very sword he was imprisoned in. His only means of freedom is by willpower but will be drawn back to his imprisonment after awhile. The picture is an acception and set a few years after the cartoon series so regardless of how daring and lewd Iris' ideas for parties are, they're all teens by now.

I've always had a short story in mind behind this picture. Since Ruby usually comes up with a reason for party every week/few days, Iris wanted to have a go at hoasting a party and Ruby was alright by it. Since Iris knew not everyone shared her fondness for extreme excitement, decides for something daring but "easy to pull off" for a party theme. At first Ruby didn't like it but everyone lightened up in the end.

Side question: Is it possible to delete the majority of submissions on your account without either deleting one-by-one or just starting a new account? I want a big clear out of my account but don't want to simply get a new account.
