The snow didn't stop falling these past few days. Fields, draped in white, show buildings standout. When Daniel saw the barn, he was attracted by the contrast offered by the red of the building against the immaculate snow.----------------------------------------------------------------------------
La neige n'a pas cessé de tomber ces derniers jours. Les champs, drapés de blanc, font ressortir les bâtiments qui s'y dressent. Lorsque Daniel a aperçu cette grange, il fut attiré par le contraste qu'offrait le rouge de la bâtisse contre la neige immaculée.

If you shoot RAW then the conversion software allows you to change the white balance to aby colour you like! OR the nikon will do a custom white balance to set it for snow.... what do you do?

Yes, I shoot RAW. But most of the time, the white balance gives me problems. I do not know how to balance the whites, exactly. On the camera, should I choose the Kelvin Color Temperature or lighting situations?
You said that there are on the Nikon an option for calibrating the colors for snow? Never heard of that

you just get some snow... and take off the lens and push the snow into the camera body.....
Doesn't your RAW software have a slider for white balance???????

Beautiful photo. Nice peaceful farm landscape with good composition. Perhaps the sky is a bit too saturated to my taste, but it's not that big deal here.

Hmm, it actually might be that my monitor isn't calibred (since it wasn't really deep blue, more like cyan)... I'll have to check it again with my own computer.. that's at least calibrated.

With the brown trees and the almost glowing white snow, the barn looks really deep blood red, one of my favourite colours
