THIS IS NOT ABOUT dA, I REPEAT THIS IS NOT ABOUT dA!!!!Everyone I have meet on dA is fantastic!!!!!!!
So in 2001, I thought I had it made. I was finally making friends with visual artist. I say visual, because all my best friends have been poets or musicians...I really thought I was getting somewhere in the "art community"....well...All of them where soooo freaking sad that no one was buying thier art and no one was looking at their art...but....THEY NEVER LOOKED AT ANYONE ELSES....
They never really supported one another, they just looked at the others work for a second and where like "it's good" or "nice"
If you are an artist. You have to see more art than you make. If you are an artist you have to be a fan to more people than you have fans....I will always watch more people on dA than watch me...because I love art...and that is why I am an artist....and that is how I will make the art community grow, so that one day it will be big enough for me to be part of...Get what I am saying?

LOL! Yeah it can be frustratin' to put your heart into something and never even have anyone give you any feedback. We are all guilty of it though man. It's hard to find the time to really listen, look, and feel the world 'round ya'

Right! Honestly, and art community is like that, hell any community is like that. Their are always people who just focus on themslves, really sad. When you can't see past your own nose, you never learn. But it is hard, I find myself at time doin' the "fav and run" stuff, and maybe not absorbin' as much as I should. It hard to find the energy at time to support other. But, at least I and alot of other try, that is what is important. Glad you dig this, means that you have alot of heart, and aren't anywhere near the people I was goin' off about

I completely understand, i came on here to see others art and share with ppl, lucky there are enuf ppl on here with the same attitude to makeit fun

Yeah man, I always see it as, you can't be part of something, unless you help support it. Alot of people just wait around to get theirs, without givin' others respect man.
You know what man, it is easier said than done though sometimes, we are all guilty at time of what I was goin' off about here. Just glancin' at peoples work, not really takin' the time to absorb it. It hard to have enough energy to support all the artist we need to. Especially on dA, it is a huge community. So I know I am guilty of this same %&*# sometimes. But, I guess as long as I try

i did something very similar to this however my words,editorial,screams whatever you want to call it were writtn out on bricks in a wall that was holding me captive. Getting over a lot of flashbacks at the time. This is a very substantial piece and says a lot literally and figuratively. Nice.

I see your point, I mean, well, sometimes, I tend to slack off a little, but I'd always keep checking out other artists. The thing that attracted me to the dA though, was everyone's art, and I kept on checking them out, but once you get an account it's kinda hard to keep on doing that.

Yeah, It really is hard at times. Sometimes I find myself just sitting at my own page waiting for thing to happen, then I am like, oh yeah, I got to go make stuff happen for others. This piece is not really directed at dA though. People on dA have alot of heart, You have alot of heart!!

Eemm.. Myth U just kick thier asses with it! i think that many of us (not only writers but any artist here on dA) want to see some constructive coments, some criticism, something more than "dope!' "good shit" and so on. But if I look at my own coments which i gave to others i see that i also write such a comment (short and dont mean nothing more than "I like it") I know that its not givin feedback but sometimes i just dont know what to say. Or I dont have enough words in english to say what i think and feel about somebodys art. U said that artist should look around and see others work. yeah they should! real artist, in my opinion, couldnt be closed inside himself. Maybe only in that moments when he do art, but in free time the real opened mind artist should look around and watch. I also have moe ppl which I watch than watchers.
So dont be afraid: comment and look around yourself

I try to comment alot, however, I sometimes have nothing to say. Like when I look in your gallery I see alot of stuff that I just plan love. If I try to comment on things I like alot of times it is short. It is hard sometimes to come up with things to say that are new and informative. You are right though we all could be more helpful to eachother with our comments.
