"Utopian Treasure"
Software used: Vue Infinite 6, Poser Pro, Photoshop CS3
In my infinite endeavors to expand my horizons, I have decided to upload something completely different; a gorgeous woman adorned in armor with a sword! LoL! I arrived at this one quite awhile ago as the inspiration came from the bright idea to combine the primary Warrior and secondary Necromancer classes in Guild Wars for my main character. Needless to say, this character's performance suffered through much of the game until I fully Ascended and was able to switch the secondary class for the big win. It seemed like a great idea at the time, but with the Warrior's terribly low amount of spell points, there weren't many good secondary skills I could actually cast! Live and learn I say!
This piece is fairly close to complete 3D as I get with only the hair and effects being painted in Photoshop. Vue steps in to create the environment with quite a bit of lens blur messing up my pretty background, but I felt it projected the character focus much better and popped her off the screen. I could have made her more wicked and decayed looking I suppose, but I got comfortable with her pretty face and that L'Oreal hair! LoL! I know I mentioned to quite a few that my next one would be really strange, but I ran into a snag and ripped it completely apart and will require more time to finish it to my standards. Well, not surrendering my money and not being suckered into doing crap I don't wanna do is the goal, so all systems go here! I'm just wrapping up this image and I will probably post it Monday I guess. After that...I'm playing with digital painting all weekend! Yay!

I think I have in the past, sure! But my computer is just to slow to do anything fancy like some of the top dogs in the Vue community. Perhaps when I build my new one we shall see some of that! Certainly things kill this computer really bad and anti-aliasing 23 billion trees and water reflections are just a couple! Hehehe! We shall see what the future holds, but I've sat here waiting for Vue to render for 6+ days before and it's no fun at all!

Very true. The few times where I have used Vue myself, it has been the slowest part of the process. I would like to do some big, poster sized prints of some Vue work - but you're right, render times are simply prohibitive. Keep up the killer work man.

It's a pretty long, long process! Hehehe! But it's 98% 3D and I use Poser for the figure and Vue for the setting. There are so many steps that I wish I could elaborate in the scope of a message, but a little magic is involved to get it the way you see it, too! Hehehe!

This was done awhile ago, so the model is using the Victoria 3 base which is kind of dated. I'm working on converting all the stuff I use to Victoria 4 which is a huge pain, but I can get much better realism. But ultimately, I just want to learn painting. LOL! Yes, I won't make that mistake again! LOL! Elementalist rocks cause it's easy to end up with 90+ energy points and you can do anything pretty much. I wish I knew that going into the game! The guild I started in was so useless and didn't share any info! LOL! Thanks so much for the comment and the

I play on great occasions like the big holidays and stuff like that. My main character is pretty high level and maxed on gold and I finished the missions and most of the quests already. Luckily they are adding new stuff to the game, but I'm just not there much at all anymore. I'll check out the game, but I really need a new computer! Hehe! GW will run ok, but not great. I have a friend who is addicted and always wants me to come in, but I'm always busy with other things. hehe!
