The Pompous Wampus was described as being terra-cotta colored, had the head of a lamb, ears of a mule, horns of a yearling heifer, giraffe neck, pig legs, cow hooves, pug dog tail, and a Cheshire Cat grin. Supposedly, if you encountered it, you could rub its nose and get good luck.
