Description

Valentina paced the room looking for something to do. She had already exhausted all the exploring places in the nook and Alma wouldn't let her go outside. She had been grounded for going through some of the other Wynling's personal belongings and accidentally breaking one of them. As she dwelled on the thought she sat down and sighed miserably. She didn't mean to hurt anything let alone make another the Wynling cry. She just wanted to know how the little box worked. Now she was stuck inside for the rest of the day. She groaned and covered her eyes. Alma had also forbidden her from going into the other's rooms without permission even though she promised not to touch anything from now on. She couldn't find anything new or cool now. Suddenly the door in the front room slammed closed.

Valentina perked up. What was that? No one dared slammed doors with Alma always watching. She peered around the corner, her dilemma temporarily forgotten at the thought that there could be something new around the corner. She was disappointed when there were only a few Wynlings. That wasn't new. There were Wynlings everywhere in the nook. Guess someone was brave enough to break one of Alma's rules. She looked around some more wondering who it could be. Then she spotted a gray Wynling with blue accents crossing the room. He was carrying a book in his mouth. She hadn't seen a book like that in the nook yet. She squealed as she realized there was something new to discover. Then darted across the room towards the Wynling in excitement. She squealed again before releasing a flurry of questions.

*Squeals* "Where did you get the book!? Is it yours!? Can I read it!? Can we read it together!? Does it have pictures!? I love pictures! If not that’s cools too. What is it about? Is it about Runeboo!? I love Runeboo, they’re so squishy! *Gasp* Did you get it from a heartkindle?! That’d be so cute! And super neat!" *More Squealing*
The gray Wynling had ducked down. Unsure of what to say, if he even ever got the chance.

"Valentina! Calm down and let him speak. Maybe you'll get some answers then." Alma suggested. Alma had just entered the room. Probably attracted by the sound of a door slamming.

"Sorry, Alma." Valentina responded. She went back down on all fours.

"Don't apologize to me." Alma motioned toward the other Wynling.

"I’m sorry... ummm" Valentina paused as she realized she had never asked the other Wynling for his name. She wanted to ask but now she wasn’t sure if that was ok. She didn’t want to get grounded from talking to others too. She looked back at Alma but she was darting into another room with a look that told Valentina she wasn’t the only one getting in trouble today.

"M-Myste. My n-names Myste." he seemed to relax a little. Valentina looked back at him.

“I’m Valentina.” She looked back at the book. “It’s really neat.”

“Thas, m boowing ih fom iss. etty.” He tried to mumble around the book.

“What?” Valentina’s head cocked to the side confused. Myste put the book down.

“I’m borrowing it from Miss. Netty. It’s about magic.” Valentina squealed again, then quickly covered her mouth.

“Sorry, but that’s really neat. I haven’t found any books on magic yet. What kind of magic?”

“This one has a few of the different basics from the four different types. As well as how they can be used for everyday jobs.”

“That means there should be some on fire!” Valentina’s eyes lit with excitement. Myste gave an amused snort.

“Do you want to read it with me?” “Yes” Valentina chirped excitedly. Myste picked up the book and they went to find a less busy area in the Nook.
