just a lil more practice with the new approach i'm using. just familiarizing myself with it, making it a part of my limbs. so far so good, im liking it...although i'm doing my best to make it not so "ashley wood"...that guy's so influential, everyone knows

the style is definitely working...you've always had this kind of chiselled quality to your figures, but this somehow softens it up a bit

yeah, i think for one, my base pencils really exudes my love for mignola and the like. but once i do the inks as well, i tend to be more experimental and loose. i don't really try and be as linear and uptight with inking my pencils if i know ill be the one to ink them as well. and yes, i do notice that with the looser, brush method, the inked piece turns out softer. and the halftones/screens compliment everything in the final stage.
its really awesome to just be able to feel an artwork come to life on its own. really surprising!!!

Beautiful, of course. Hellboy is a personal favorite (as I'm sure he is with most people).

Yeah, Hellboy is kind of a weird phenomena that even people who don't hate comics loves because of the movie. Which I think is a shame, but I guess to each their own...

hellboy is good but looks that he is floating at the landscape(i think thats the idea ,put him in front and the landscape just for background!! but pretty good!!!!

yep. that was the idea indeed. just unconsciously drew the trees/cemetery in the background just to put something in the space. so, i wasnt really thinking of merging hellboy with it...although i think at some level they did!
