Trying to get use to the water-colors and trying to come up with some funny ideas for a comic. I have a Hollie Hobbie (the traditional verson, not the new one) comforter on my bed, which is where i tend to do all my doodlings, so it wasn't really a far fetched idea on my part..... just an exceedingly cute one.Zetsu and Akatsuki Chick go to "Naruto"
Hollie Hobbie, me thinks goes to "Hallmark".

aw this really appeals to me. It reminds me of ... hm... I just woke up so I can't for the LIFE of me think of the right wording. Those older children's books, does that make sense? Ah well, it's very sweet.

*chuckles* older books. There was a collection of short stories for children that I found in a used book store, ages ago, that had caught my eye. The drawings were so delicately handled, so sweet. Like they'd captured moments in time and just... you just wanted to freeze for a bit so you didn't disturb the figures in the drawing. That's what this reminded me of. That same kind of timeless feel. (that probably didn't help and was just as incoherant).

ah, i understand. I have an old book of fairy tales, beautiful artwork in them.... I also remember the Little Golden Books having a lot of good art in them too.

i know, i just have a hard time working with black, i tend to over do it and it the shadeing ends up looking off.

A lovely concept, and your delicate colouring is wonderful! It looks pastoral and innocent, an interesting contrast to the way Akatsuki are usually portrayed...

thank you! I really enjoyed the contstructive comment. I was aiming for the pastel look from the start, trying to mimic how the hollie hobbies were designed, i am happy that it turned out so well. I do need to work on my skies a bit more.

this drawing though makes me start to wonder if the unknow one DID grow Zetsu... i mean he/she wears a flower... zetsu is a plant... kind of a stretch but then a manical gardener that grows Zetsus would be very scary memeber of Akatsuki
