Description Been a LOONNNG time since I've been inspired to try and design a full collection. For now it's called Orange Crush-style 1: Elegance. This is as finished as I will get with this one. Working on 2 other styles based on the designers collection. I'm trying to learn design creatively yet be wearable. Is it working so far?

Inspiration: Hall Ohara A/W 2012 collection.

COOL! I would love to wear something like this because I love the simple pattern with that pop of vibrant color like that....too bad I'm so short... Still they are elegant and cute and just....awwwww!

Thank you!!. I have other designs based on the inspired collection, but they are a bit weird and I prefer to focus on wearable clothing. So I may expand this part of the collection.

You can make any dress look good on the body as long as they fit it properly

This is excellent. The black-and-white pattern really pops, and the splash of orange gives the designs impact.

Thank you! These colors were a challenge but the collection I was inspired from helped a great deal.

I am still in love with your clothing designs! One of these years I'm going to have to use some of them, haha! I really like the way you designed these dresses, and I think they are definitely wearable!

Yay thanks!! I was really inspired by the collection which is very rare. I'll MSG my sketches of the other designs based on the designers collection.

Although I'm not fond of the squares or the orange color, I must admit that I loved the dress from the middle

LOL! Would you like to see the design in a diff color/pattern? It's very elegant compared to the other 2. I like it alot but it doesnt fit in. I'll considering re-desiging it in a new collection.

You see, I have dificulty choosing patterns because I don't like them either (maybe excepting a few ones that catch my eye) but I think it would look pretty cool in caribbean blue, teal and a white butterfly sewing pattern (just the lines). Maybe I mismatched the colors, but it's just my opinion. You'll know if you listen to me or not, I'll respect your opinion because you drew this.

I'm bad at color selecting so most of my work is taken from other material.
oh you mean just changing the back? i'll look into that as a seperate collection. I have several fabrics photos with those kind of colors i could totally use.

That elegant! I would wear the dress the way! Remember a contemporary Geisha!

thanks. this concept was tough to do. i have a hard time designing with popular color schemes (purple/yellow, red/green, etc w/o making them look like a holiday. lol

Well, I think yours are far more wearable than the Japanese clothes...
I like the black and white in contrast with the bright orange. All three designs are gorgeous. I like the shape and the different combinations of the fabrics.
The first and third design are my favourite. They are interesting in the top and very fashionable. The one in the middle looks a bit too... I don't know. Old-fashioned is the wrong word. Bute the shape of the overall look the top neckline, the belt/bow and the parted skirt is a little too... "Sense And Sensibility" for my taste. The other designs have a more modern look to them even though the empire style is still visible.
Great work

Thankyou for liking these!! Did you take a look at the collection i was inspired by? I dont normally design with orange and black so this was a nice challenge. They aren't drawn perfectly but I think I got my initial concept accomplished. I see what you mean with the 2nd design. It is very "safe" and proper compared to the others. I actually modeled it after a kimono with the layers and bow to tie it into the Japanese roots of the designer I was inspired by. With the 3rd dress were you able to see the print is sheer? The orange wrap-shoulder strap looked really nice on paper but looks a bit weird here. I think it is b/c it overlaps the bust piece at the waist and looks really long. I also had a hard time with the 1st dress at developing a good look for the top. But if people are liking these as they are I won't change the design. Maybe re-draw them later when I finalize the collection. Thanks again!!

Yeah, I did look at your inspiration. But the original designs looked too bulky for my taste.
Oh, the second design comes from a kimono. Now that you say it - I can see the obi-belt^^
And I really saw the see-through skirt in the third design The orange shoulder wrap was something that bothered me a bit - but not that much that I thought I should mention it. Now that I hear, you aren't comfortable with it as well - maybe you want to change that...
The neckline of the first dress is really gorgeous^^ Please keep it that way

yes it is bulky. I think it was a combo of shape and color that attracted me to take a look at the collection. It was different (for Japanese fashion anyway). I'm trying to come up with a cool urabn-style. Something that doesnt scream hip-hop nor Neiman Marcus.

Maybe I'll post my horrible sketch of the dresses. I think my idea shows best in it. The 3rd dress, is was flipped so the models looked cohesive. Which for me made the dress look strange. Originally I think i had the waist and strap as black checker print instead of diamond-shaped. I think I might show various sketches of it. I'm really not 100% satisfied with them.

I totally appreciate your feedback. I prefer comments over favs
