Dust emtombed the arena as Combusken's talons came down crushing the Geodude beneath. The Geodude fainted with Combusken standing triumphantly over her.
"Return!", Roxanne's coolly spook,"Well then I see you understand basic type advantage".
"Of course, just as plan!", Jake gloated nevermind that he just kept the Combusken, Shellia, attack everything with double kick since she evolved.
Roxanne smirked,"Well now I hope you weren't expecting a easy win".
Roxanne reached to her belt and threw her Nosepass into the dust cloud. Nosepass crashed into the floor displacing the cloud around him. Roxanne twirled her finger and dust began to gather around the glowing nose Nosepass.
"Unfortnately you may have hindered yourself.", Roxanne shook her head with a smirk still plastered on her face,"An advantage I'll glady take. Shockwave"!
A ball of light rush towards Shellia and she screamed as the light dispersed. The dust scattered away from Shellia's exhausted form as see turned to glare at Jake. "I told you we should've went to the Pokemon Center to heal!", shout Shellia.
Looking away Jake nerviously chuckled,"Well I thought we had it in the bag so...", interlocking her fingers,"Sorry".
"Well it's cute to chear on your pokemon but", Roxanne twirled her finger again and Shellia was again engulfed by the cloud,"Shockwave".
Another ball of light headed for Shellia. "Shellia! Jump!", Jake called out as Shellia only managed to barely break the sea of dust before getting hit. Jake dug out her pokeball before she sunk back in and returned the injured Combusken.
"You know every plan has a snag or two.", Roxanne rested a hand on her cheek,"Sometimes you just got to adapt, you know".
Jake grabbed another ball from his belt, "You're up Chuck!", tossing the ball into the field.
"Oh!", a gruff voice sighed, "You had to name me that".
The Shroomish stood at the edge of the field and chuckled, "Heh. So you using someone other then Shellia? Must be bad". Chuck shook in place, "Let me at 'em"!
"Shockwave.", Roxanne stated, finger point at Chuck.
A soft glow caught Jake's eyes, following the light till it bursted near Chuck. Chuck steadied himself after being flung back and started to shake aggressively, "You wanna try that again"!
Jake pointed at the center of the cloud, "Chuck! Leech Seed there!". Chuck compiled and leapt up, shooting out seeds. They made their mark and spores began to rise into the air. Chuck chomped down on the spores floating closest to him.
"Well I guess hiding it pointless now.", Roxanne clapped her hands together, "Time to go on the offensive. Nosepass Tackle". The Nosepass charged at Chuck.
"You think I'm afraid of-"
"Chuck dodge!", Jake shouted over Chuck's boast.
The Shroomish rolled out of the way when Roxanne crossed her arms,"Rocktomb!".
Nosepass jumped back and launched boulders at Chuck, pinning him to the floor. Chuck struggled to break free, trying to catch any spores with each shake. Jake debated on whether he should switch in Shellia but the barreling Nosepass force his hand. "Return Chuck!", Jake grasp Shelia's pokeball, "Go, Shellia"!
Shellia sprung out landing out of Nosepass' reach. Shellia cracked her neck, "Hope you got a better plan Jake". Shellia's attention was drawn to the spores flying off of Nosepass and cheerfully stated, "Well this will do".
Jake swung his arms frantically, "Double Kick!", and Shellia twisted herself to land a kick on the Nosepass. Shellia jerked her other foot into the side of the Nosepass sending it flying. The Nosepass crashed into the wall while Shellia chewed on the spores.
"So is that it?", Shellia spoke before stuffing more spores into her beak.
The Nosepass pealed off the wall and dropped to the floor, fainted.
A referee gestured to Jake declaring,"The victor"!
Shellia is still eating what spores are lying about as Jake runs to embrace her. He drops to the floor as Shellia evades him.
"Well, well, well.", Roxanne slowly claps as she approaches the fallen trainer, "You earned this".
Roxanne hands Jake both a badge and the TM for Rock Tomb. Jake stands up placing the badge into a hard case and turning his attention to her. "So do you guys have a bathroom", Jake chuckles.
Roxanne stares at him, "Down the hall, third door on your left".
Jake washes the dirt off his face. "One down", Jake takes the Magma badge hanging from his neck and holds it over the running water,"Seven more to go".
