long exposure with a laser, that way the light source is no where near the dice but appears to come from inside. but it only works with a long exposure and keeping the laser moving to avoid the beam showing up.

hehe i would like to say trade secret, but then the point of DA is to share so i want to do my bit to help the artists on da

this was done by:

get a casino die, put it in an empty bath, put the camera in there too, set the shutter time for about 10 seconds, then shine a laser pointer at the die. the light from the laser reflects inside the die and makes it glow

just a random idea

thanks the glow effect was the result of the long exposure. the longer the exposure the brighter the glow

i put a casino die in an empty bath, chucked in the camera too and then shined a lazer through the dice. the position of the lazer made a massive difference, if the lazer was behind the die then it cast a shadow, and if it was in the middle it did that

BTW the lazer is an extreamly powerful lab spec one, it runs off the mains and has a huge transformer, the lazer itself is about the size of a small baseball bat!! with a telescope you can see it on the moon!!
