Yes it was done digitally. The uploaded map is almost original size.
Usually people work with 3x bigger canvas and then shrink it down 3x for the final art to hide the imperfections.
I don't have enough ram to do that big canvas, so my initial canvas size is usually the final art size.
Just have to pay more attention to details
