Description For Marvel Comics' letter "I" characters, I chose both Ice-Man(of X-Men fame) & the Invisible Woman(formerly the Invisble Girl, and a current member of the Fantastic Four)...yes, the Invisible Woman is indeed in this piece...but you can't see her cause she's "invisible"(except for the breath of cold air due to Ice-Man's sub-zero ice show!), and that idea was "borrowed" upon by another D.A. artist named NightangelWorks . Her real name is Sue Richards(her maiden name is Storm), and her 1st appearance was in Fantastic Four #1. She married another member of the team, Reed Richards(the leader no less!), and together they sired Franklin Richards(who was an on again, off again part-timer of the kid team Power Pack)...who is said to be the most potentially powerful character in the Marvel Universe! That is, if he lives long enough to grow up! Aside from the ability to be unseen, she can also create incredibly powerful force fields of her own unique designs. Ice-Man's real name is Bobby Drake, and his 1st appearance was in X-Men #1. A founding member of Professor Charles Xavier's mutant team the X-Men, Ice-Man has also been a member of the Champions Of Los Angeles, The Defenders, and X-Factor. His ability is to generate intense cold from his body, which he can use in various ways...including those killer ice slides he rides! Ice-man was actually not very powerful, but his powers were enhanced to an unknown degree by the trickster himself, the Norse God Loki. His ability to generate intense cold grew so great, that he could even contain the Hulk himself. For a brief period of time, Ice-Man wore a bulky belt that could help him control the vast power he now possessed, but he no longer requires it for control over his abilities.

As you know, I'm not a big comic/cartoon buff... what is the thing just below his lift knee/leg? It looks like a hill of some kind but I'm not sure what it is.
I agree with NightangelWorks about his left calf/shin/foot looking a little off. I think it is party due to the size of his thigh muscle. The thigh muscle is quite a bit larger than the calf muscle (which is normal) but with the angle of the leg right behind it, it looks a little skinny... (remember, I don't draw so my critiques/observations could be WAAAAAAY off!)
Anyhoo, nice job over all. I like the bubble for invisible woman. She was probably the easiest piece of work you've done yet! LOL!
Nice work nivek2.

Oh, and I forgot...that thing that his leg is on, is a chunck of solid ice.

Yeah, that area you mentioned is a problem spot to be sure...but I was so tired when I finished this I just wanted to get it up and posted on D.A. I may go back and edit it later. Thanks for the comment and the great critique...and by the way, when are you getting yourself a pic for your avatar? It's still just a blank space.

You're welcome. I'm glad your so open to comment and critique. I have tried to get a pic for my avatar but I can't figure out how to do it. Go figure... It seems like it wants a pic so small for that area it won't show up right... maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Thank you for answering my question about the ice chunck. I didn't mean to be insulting by not knowing what it is. Like I said, I really don't watch cartoons or read comics so I wans't sure. Thanks again for being accepting of my comments. Remember: people will survive one extra day without you putting the piece on the DA... By that, I mean if you're tired, stop drawing for the night. Go to bed. You will almost always be able to edit things to make them look the way you want rather than settleing. Have a nice weekend!

Yer avatar has to be a pic that is 50x50 in size, so it's pretty small. I wasn't at all insulted by the question, and was glad to answer it! You have a nice weekend too!

OOOH!! I know this guy!! This one I actually know! I know him as in name and Codename and brief history.. but that's about it.

He really came out awesome, I have to admit. I love the way you've done his face, head, and hair. hehe.. You always seem to have such a great grip on facial features of your characters.

For some reason I have a feeling this would look amazing if you colored it.

His torso and abdominal regions turned out excellent. Great placement with these.

I think i'm afraid of his ice-fire though. Hah! Hide me!

Good to know you know a Marvel comics character er two other than just Spider-Man . Ice-Man's always been a big fav. of mine, and he was the inspiration for many of my own characters with the power over intense cold. I'm so thrilled to see that you like how he came out, and your comments and critiques do mean a lot to me, and I always look forward to reading them! Maybe I will color him somewhere down the road, but with so many more letters of the alphabet to go, it may be a while! Thanks so much for such nice comments!

"X" didn't leave too many choices for either company, but I was able to pick some! Thanks for all your bouncy enthusiasm!

EEEP! Thanks for borrowing from my idea. It certainly turned out wonderfully. The idea is just so funny yet...practical. I feel that the detail you put into Ice-Man is fabulously done. I LOVE his expression. And his icy-outline is pretty cool. The left foot/ankle area bothers me a bit. Perhaps it is just the angle of it all. And his head & neck are just a taaaad bit too small. But I think it looks really great! Can't wait to see the next ones!

Yes, I do agree with you that his head is too small...and I even saw that when it was finished, but was like "eh! oh well!"...so it's something I'll definately have to continue to work on! Thanks for the nice comment and good critique!
