I first want to say I really ejoy this piece of work. To me it gives off several emotions like happy but gloomy but kind mixed. I love the water it is amazing and looks like a photo im not entirely sure if it is or not its still very pretty either way. I like the tree too. The only problem I can see is the lighting and where the shadow lands. Its not way noticeable but something just seems off. I cant really tell how the sun is hitting the tree if that makes sense. I like the clouds all but the one section on the right looks odd but thats how clouds are so nothing wrong with that. Overall I gave the piece 4 and 5 stars job well done and keep up the incredible digital worke.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/sā€¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" />

Thank for critiques. )) Shadows... Yes, shadows from a palm tree are bad, but even 8 hours of rendering on P4 I will not bear ))

another Vue user! nice scene ^^ the lighting is quite a change from the typical bright tropical paradise scenes we are used to seeing.

Love that palm tree, did you use displacement on the trunk to get that realistic "rigid" look to the edge sof it? The dark atmosphere is a nice change too, people tend to forget that the tropics do go through a few months of torrential rain every year - it's what keeps them so lush and vibrant
