This is just plain gorgeous. The light colors give a sense of calm and cheerfulness. The character's expression is also very soothing and heartwarming. The cat adds to it too, making you feel every bit as fuzzy as Kitty is.
The background certainly accentuates the mood as well, giving a sense of innocence and breezy freedom. Everything is framed nicely.
