Description Some were the figures of well-known myth - gorgons, chimaeras, dragons, cyclops, and all their shuddersome congeners. Others were drawn from darker and more furtively whispered cycles of subterranean legend - black, formless Tsathoggua, many-tentacled Cthulhu, proboscidian Chaugnar Faugn, and other rumoured blasphemies from forbidden books like the Necronomicon, the Book of Eibon, or the Unaussprechlichen Kulten of von Junzt.
- H. P. Lovecraft, "The Horror in the Museum"

neat.

I think this creature was featured in the cult classic TV movie 'Cast a Deadly Spell' and he looked remarkably like this. My interaction with the Mythos was quite limited, so I thought they had just made their own Eldritch Monstrosity at the end. But seeing this now, I realize it was actually one of them. cool.

Thanks! I actually see a lot of lovecraftian reference in 60' and 70' horror flicks, not always named, but still. A lot of creative people back then had grown on mythos papers
